It does sound like a start signal problem. Which channels are you getting this on?

My experience is dominantly of recording Janet's SOAPS..
and the precision of 'Timing Starts' is astounding..
As the Titles roll and the Theme tune starts..
so do too the recordings..
Perhaps the Broadcasters know when not to upset the watchers?
and at other times ..'Who cares?'
