CD sound balance wrong.
Anyone know why a CD plays with the vocal almost inaudible but the backing music sounding normal. This is occuring on 2 different music systems. Seems as if the vocal mike is turned very low, we spent a long time fiddling the controls to no avail. It's happening on 2 CDs, Susan Boyle & Van Morrison. Any thoughts?

What are you playing this through? The reason I ask is because the response will be completely different if you are playing this through a stereo or a 5.1 TV amp.

If this is only happening on 2 CD's then it sounds like the mid-range speaker(s) are at fault or possibly the wiring. With the van morrison CD, they do sound as though the vocals are distant on certain tracks. If it not the wiring or speakers, then it could be just the quality of the CD itself as I have a few that are of poor sound quality. Make sure you have the correct wiring with the + going to positive and the - going to negative. |
