Hi

I have a samsung lcd tv and wanted to connect my home cinema system via the audio outputs at the back of the tv.

However, when I connect it only very very faint sound comes from the speakers (at full volume). If I connect the cable decoder directly to the cinema system it works fine.

Is there a setting on the samsung tv somewhere to enable the analogue audio output jacks?

These connections may be volume controlled by the TV remote control and there is a seperate menu item in the TV setup to mute the internal TV speakers. Try turning up the TV volume with the tV remote to confirm this.

Try breaking out the audio outputs from a scart socket using a cheap scart to phono adaptor
