I think Nigel is a fairly decent actor overall, and I'm not just basing my opinion on him being totally fit. I mean Nick in corrie is gorgeous but he's just a male model doing what he does best.. posing, as an actor unfortunately. Anyway, Nigel has a lot of experience as I'm pretty sure he did some theatre acting, didn't he?

I am not Nigel H's greatest fan, in fact when he started in EE I found him very wooden. However over the last couple of weeks I've changed my mind about him, I think he's improved a lot, and I also think he's got better scripts to deal with lately (didn't see last night's though). I have come to the conclusion that the main problem on EE at present is the often unbelievably poor scripts and storylining. I think Nigel H and even the dreaded Ferreiras are victims of this.
He seems (in interviews) a genuinely nice, level headed guy who dislikes all the hype about his character. I doubt he'll stay in EE that much longer -- when we get to see him in something else we'll find out if he's a good actor or not, but while he's in EE I don't think we've got much chance of finding out. |

I think Nigel has improved a lot from when he started. The latest storylines have made him really stand out and he works well with the rest of the Watts.

I think Nigel has successfully made him a multi-dimensional character, I mean he can go from lost lil boy mode striaght to tear up the Vic in one scene without it being totally unrealistic. I have to say as well, I think his sullen voice is so sexy!

i think most of the actors and actresses who start on the square are a little wooden for a while and then improve as its new. Nigel had more pressure on him as he was playing dens son.

The reason you can't find anything on him on google is because you can't even spell his name. His name is nigel harman not nigel herman. In a lot of people's opinion,he's a great actor, and you are just in the minority. Also, eastenders got 1 million more viewers than Corrie this week,so it IS NOT going to the dogs.Hope you can understand that.

[quote=Jess321204]I would just like to poin out what a bunch of sad losers most of you are.The reason you can't find anything on him on google is because you can't even spell his name.Anyone with half a brain knows his name is nigel harman not nigel herman. In a lot of people's opinion,he's a great actor, and you are just in the minority. Also, eastenders got 1 million more viewers than Corrie this week,so it IS NOT going to the dogs.Hope you and your pea sized brains can understand that.
Thanks for your intelligent, well thought out reasoned words. Good to see that you have used your brain to assimilate a decent argument as to why you think he's a good actor in your opinion. & let's face it, that's what we're all expressing - opinions. I am not a 'sad loser' because I think he's a crap actor, I am just someone who has a different opinion to yours. & EastEnders getting 1 million more viewers than Corrie is meaningless. EastEnders viewing figures always include the sunday omnibus editions. Corrie's omnibus has far less viewers because it's only on ITV2 so not everyone can watch it. Put that in YOUR pea sized head and tell me WHY you think Nigel Harman is a good actor. |

Well, tell me why he won 'best newcomer' if he is such a crap actor?
i'm afraid a lot of people would beg to differ with you.Your so called opinion didn't sound like an opinion to me.You just sounded like somebody who gets a kick out of slagging people off.I am NOT slagging YOU off for your opinion - but this thread has turned into 'lets see who can insult Nigel the most' |

Yes, I've seen her own, and she gives good solid reasons as to why she dislikes Nigel. It sounded EXACTLY like an opinion, not a slagging match. And who says we're in the minority? Where's the proof in that? I also find it telling that half of the posts in the last couple of pages of this thread seem to be about his looks, which is utterly irrelevent to anything...
Oh and if you're so naive to think that someone is a good actor because they won "Best Newcomer", then that's just daft. I am not denying good actors DO wins things like that and that some who voted for him actually like his acting ability. But "Best Newcomer" is purely what the title says, and looks can play a massive massive role in that. Do you think he would've won if he wasn't so attractive? If he looked like the back end of a bus would he have picked that up? I doubt it. Kim Medcalf (Sam Mitchell) won it the previous year despite not having a single storyline during that period and as a result having to display no real acting skills. But she's pretty, so there you go... |

These things are usually based on magazines like Heat's bigging up of said celebrities and whilst I read and enjoy Heat magazine, I certainly don't think that what they say is gospel. A good actor is someone believeable, who makes me empathise with their character. Nigel Harman does not do this for me I'm afraid, but there are plenty of actors who do. I am entitled to express an opinion without being told I am slagging people off. I personally prefer Coronation Street - you obviously prefer EastEnders. Therefore, you are a sad pea brained loser. See, totally unreasonable isn't it? |

Oh and it's also telling that Eastenders bosses didn't put him forward for the Best Actor category at this year's British Soap Awards. There are 3 candidates, and it's obvious Nigel hasn't been among the top 3 who have put in the strongest performances this past year, despite having big storylines and the opportunity to do so - thankfully it seems whoever put those choices forward agrees...

There's too many stupid responses on these forums from people who just think Nigel Harman is 'fit' and don't give reasons why he's a good actor. If people have got the intelligence to give reasons why they like him then that's all good, if they're just arguing pointless insults they should go somewhere else.

Well,if you look at your first post, you will notice that you aren't merely expressing an opinion, but insulting him.I do not think he is the best actor to grace our screens, but reasonably good.Yes,perhaps i was insulting in my first post, but it annoys me when people claim to be 'expressing their point of view' when all they're really doing is trying to insult someone.

I' merely pointing out that Nigel can hardly be awful and crap to win something.I'm not saying this proves he's fantastic.

I am not judging Nigel Harman on how 'fit' he is,but purely pointing out that quite a few people agree with me,when i say he is a good actor.Tell me this by the way, does people saying things like
"even google doesn't know who he is he's so crap" and "he's ugly and crap" really sound like a reasonable opinion to you? |

and as an afterthought,i'd like to add that i think Nigel is a good actor, because he makes the role believeable, and has great on screen prescence.I don't deny that his looks have helped him,ut there are a lot of good looking actors that still have acting talent as well.
