Right.I would like to apologise to remarks i might have made that have caused offence.I will remove the remarks.I would just like to simply point out that i,as a fan of Nigel's,overreacted when i saw some of the things that had been said.I will now leave the situation alone

Firstly, He's called Nigel Harman not Nigel Herman!
As for the people who said he and Tish can't act, did you watch last weeks episodes with your eyes closed?! In my opinon he is a fantastic actor who keeps getting better and better as the weeks go on. |

Okay, this thread has gone waaaaay off topic, but I'm gonna stand by my opinion that Letitia Dean can't act, although I'm happy enough with Nigel Harman's performances and for the record, I've never misspelt his name.

Letitia Dean can't act? Are you having a laugh? That's like saying a kettle can't boil water....try turning the telly on that might help

Rudi I fully see Nigel Harman as the character of Dennis. I’ve watched EE since it started and the coming together of Dennis and Den has been amazing because they’ve cast just the right Dennis and it’s great to see Dens relationship with him, and all the serious darker undertones that I think some BBC dramas are the best at doing are really well handled and made the most of by Nigel Harman.. The storylines are cooking at the moment and they’re so much more interesting with a bit of testosterone in there somewhere. (Gary, Ian, Patrick, Tariq, Ronnie?... Sadly not). Recently Eastenders has become to me the best thing on TV, ever in my opinion, partly because it is 4 times a week and you don’t get that with any other film or BBC drama usually. It’s an institution for some. And when compared with characters such as the Fererras, it’s the episodes with Nigel Harman featuring heavily that seem guaranteed not to be boring. He’s electric on the screen. I don't think there was anything wrong with his acting to start with, and he seems to be getting better and better. The energy and subliminal detail in his performance in the confrontation with Den the other night was nail-bitingly good. Recent episodes with Dennis in such as the one where he and Sharon discuss the murder came across to me as on a totally new level for Eastenders (or any other soap). Put that together with the devastatingly handsome face, that English accent and I’ve been meaning to see if I can put a bet on at the bookies that he’ll be in a major film in the next 5 years. I should have done it with Leonardo deCaprio, Ewan McGregor and Toby Maguire, Nick Stahl, Elijah Wood, Christopher Eckleson and many others who I’ve followed since they weren't that well known and are successful actors 15 years on. I might not know much about the acting industry but I’m confident I know talent when I see it and I consider that Nigel Harman has what it takes in buckets. I don't think Letitia Dean has though. |

No doubt I am opening a can of worms and doubtless this has been discussed before, but does anyone else think that Nigel Harman is the world's most overrated actor? In fact, his 'acting' is appalling. & sexy? He's about 5 feet tall!!! Please someone - agree with me! I reckon the nicest looking bloke ever in EastEnders was Michael French (David Wickes)........... |
