I'd like to request that the "New" recording tags show when in any mode which allows the moving of files. Currently the normal editing mode and the "edit" mode (which allows) multiple file slection don't show these tags.

For me I find this a pain as I record a lot of films. This results in a mixture of films that I have watched and not watched on the normal "Media" menu. When transferring recordings into catgorised folders such as "Films", I obviously only want to transfer films or programmes I've already watched and thus decided to keep, not unwatched films / programmes.

However, when you have a lot of recordings in the Media menu its near impossible to remember when in any of the editing menus, the names of what you've watched amd what you haven't watched thus making selecting recordings for transfer on that basis very difficult given that the "new" tags don't show in either edit mode. I find myself having to flick constantly between the 2 modes and making multiple transfers when one single transfer would have sufficied.

Could we please therefore have an update that causes the "new" tags to show in the edit modes as well as this would make selecting recodings for transfer much easier.

Can't see that happening to be fair. It's not something I think many people would benefit from.

I don't know how many would benefit - potentially anyone who moves recordings.

It also isn't a major change so shouldn't be that difficult to implement and would improve usability.

Bob Cat had stated that there will be no more features added to the present Generation Humax boxes (other than BBC iPlayer support). You could always ask him to think about it for the 2nd Generation boxes which will be out in 2010.

Well I would find it extremely useful. I find that I'm going into the listings, seeing what is shown as 'New' and then memorising the order of watched and unwatched programs in order to delete them. I then get to the red button and think "I wonder if that really is the one I want to delete?", come out of the edit mode and check the recordings using Info. ( I know that I can check them in Edit using Info, but it doesn't tell me if I have watched something). Of course I can't remember more than one recording's Info, so I delete one at a time.

Just put 'New' besides each 'New' recording when in edit. In fact, why wasn't this simple thing done in the last update?
