I still shop in Topman and I'm in my late 20s. it's about picking out the items that suit you and go with other items in your wardrobe. Anyone who buys everything from Topman's latest collection are wears it all together has no natural style, flare or originality. I once heard someone say 'They look like Topman threw up all over them' and it is so true of some people.

Very true.

I always tell my friend he looks like a Topman mannequin if he overdoes it.

Biggest fail of a thread ever, since if there were only sizes s, xs, and xxs left on the racks, that's because the m, l and xl have sold out thus completely proving you wrong.

I appreciate being able to buy things that actually fit me, I can only shop in about 8 high street stores since designer and bargain shops like primark only cater to the medium man "one size fits all" ideology.

Topman is young fashion, if you're over 23 it's really time you shopped somewhere else otherwise you're just gonna look like mutton dressed as lamb anyway.

Its mostly spotty students and sixth-formers thinking they're cool and in fashion who shop there...they just end up looking camp.

I am 31, almost 32 and still get some items in Topman. Sometimes I am successful but other times I try stuff on and it all looks too small for me and I am nowhere near what you would call fat!! I am probably a medium in most high street shops but Topman's stuff seems to have really shrunk these days!

I also find it very expensive compared to a couple of years ago. Ever since style magazines etc started raving about it their prices have gone through the roof with even a shirt that you could get a similar version of in H&M for £14.99 selling in Topman for £28-£30 - you can't tell me Topman's stuff is double the quality of H&M?!

My nearest big Topman is Oxford Circus, London, and I find it chaotic in there to say the least, and as much as I love some of the designs and concepts I don't have the courage to wear them!

Yes I think the most likely reason is all the other sizes were sold out (this is usually the case especially during sales the sizes left are 26xs jeans and sizes xxs xxs xl and xxl) most shops dont do these smaller sizes but this is a common occurance in most shops.

Some comments on here appear to me inaccurate. Topman is not for the 'skinny' they stock sizes from xxs-xl(or xxl i think) but I do agree the trends are aimed more at the younger but I don't think it is inclusive.

On the 'manorexic' note, you can be size xxs with a 26" waist and be in, and appear in good health. I am 18, 5 10" and these sizes, although i am in a small frame I don't see myself as 'thin' but very much lean. Body shape is diverse and subjective, everyone's is different.

I too appreciate Topman because of its size range. I'd say it is more available to everyone due to its wider range in sizes than certainly every other high street clothes shop (River Island go to xs and Burton and H&M do the occasional xs number) so I know I can always go to Topman and find something that fits me...and the sales are amazing because the xxs/26R sizes are there in plentiful on the sale rail..which supports the argument that the reason why on the day you went there the regular sizes (m) were all taken.
