Humax box wont delete programme
Hi
I was going through my planner tonight deleteing programmes and my box seemed to get stuck during deletion. Now everytime I power off my box and turn it back on I get the little dustbin icon in the corner for about a minute and then the box freezes. It does this everytime the box is turned on now. The TV plays fine for about a minute and I can change channels but then everything just freezes up including the picture. Anyone got any ideas? |

Sounds like a factory reset is required. Make a note of your recording schedules and output settings like V format etc first. Also be aware that the stb volume defaults to just 50% so that will need cranking up again.

The problem is that my box locks up before I can get into the menu to do the reset - is there any other way to do it?

Before it happened I think I hit the delete, then exit and then changed channel - couldn't repeat the issue though. |

One suggestion try updating the firmware using USB. Instructions and download on the website. Hopefully this might eliminate any firmware corruption.
