Who here DOES NOT have an ipod?

I don't have an ipod (I have a creative zen) I do sometimes download stuff from itunes but my zen software converts it to mp3 anyway.

I don't, I don't even have a personal music player of any kind!

I use my phone. Why carry two or more gadgets around?

I didn't have one until this Christmas. Now I need to go out and buy a bloody laptop to get it working!!! (I only have access to a computer at work at the moment!)

I don't. I am a bit of an audiophile and listen to music on a real hi-fi, but I do compress music to fit on my Blackberry.

I don't I have a cheap 2gig mp3 player.

I'm always dropping portable devices so dropping a £20 device is better than dropping a £200 device.

I just ask because I have my 'other mp3 player' and I'm stick of people always telling me to 'get an ipod like everyone else in the world' I just guessed I'd not be the only one.

(***k you I won't do what you tell me )

Why download stuff you have on CD anyway, just rip them.

I haven't either, got one of the cheapo mp3 players from argos but hardly ever use it anywhere. Can't believe people pay a fortune for them!

Never had an ipod. Just got a teeny little thing called a Creative Zen for Christmas. No idea whatsoever what to do with it. On close examination it seems to have a little button on each side and a round thing in the middle of its front. Presumably music doesn't just happen, however many buttons I press. It might have been easier if I had been given a piano though.

I don't have an ipod, or any similar device. Don't have or want one, and wouldn't use it if I did. I do have both personal tape & CD players, though I haven't used either in years.

You have to add music onto it via USB on a computer. MP3 comes from downloading or ripping CD;s. Why download stuff you have on CD anyway, just rip them I say.

Too right there. Why they made it so you had to use the software to transfer to the Ipod, I'll never understand.

It's so bloated as well.

I just want to cut and paste my files over, and with no DRM issues.

I don't have an ipod. I don't have any kind of portable music playing thing.
I quite like music, but I don't need to have it 24 hours a day.

I have an ipod touch, and I also have a sony walkman mp4 and a Sony Erricson phone with mp3.

The ipod is head and shoulders above the other two, simply because of the range of applications, I haveall of my doctor who series stored on there, some films, music videos, hundreds of photos, hundreds of songs, games, facebook, the list is endless.

It is the gadget that I use the most, it is also very simple to use and itunes is also very easy to use.

I could not be without it, I carry it with me along with my two mobiles, it takes up little room in my bag.

It was a pressie for xmas last year and I have used it just about every day since.

My sister bought her boyfriend an iPod Nano for Christmas and asked me to load some music on it before she gave it to him.

Holy God, I couldn't believe how bad iTunes was to use. So unnecessarily complicated. I have an Archos mp3 player and just use it as an external hard drive - just drag and drop whatever files you want and away you go. Why the hell can't I just do that with an iPod?

Using iTunes just made me appreciate my Archos even more.

I said I'd get one when I bought the MP3 player I have now would 'retire'. That was July 2008, and my 1GB Alba MP3 player (or Johnny as I called it) is still going strong, I use it every time I go out. I don't know when I'll get an iPod, as two Christmasses have gone since I said I wanted one and I still don't have one. If I did get one, it would only be a Nano from this generation or the one released in 2008. Here's to another year of my Alba MP3 player, I've actually looked after it pretty well! Rarity for me.
