Super talented guy, it's a shame really, when someone dies so young, it's not any worse, but it just feels that way.

I highly doubt that they'll ever replace him, as they were a very close group of friends when they started out.

Very gutted to hear this, very talented man. Loved his work especially on 'A little piece of heaven'!

Wonder what A7X will do next?!

well it would have been nice for the op to say, instead of us all going to google the story.

hardly "all", everyone else who posted knew, presumably because they're fans of the guy and his band.

i imagine the 0.10 seconds it takes to google him would give you an answer more quickly than the OP anyway.

Devastating news. So young and talented.

A7X are excellent, and I was looking forward to the next album. One can only hope we get to hear his last pieces.

RIP Jimmy.

I'm not gonna pretend he's an amazing drummer or anything, to be honest he's quite poor, but it's always sad when someone so young dies.

Far too young to go. So many young musicians and actors seem to be dying recently. A7X will have a huge hole, very difficult to fill.
RIP The Rev

I heard this morning and I'm still getting to terms with it. So out of the blue and such a young age. Shocking. A7X are one of my favourite bands and I loved The Rev, such a character. RIP. The band won't be the same now

Gutted. Heard the news on Xfm,. City of Evil was an emence album. Wether they continue or not, it'll take ages before it even remotly feels the same. I'm just interested to hear the cause of death, they say naturall causes, but at 28 I'm doubting it a bit.

I only looked, because I thought the wee guy from Bronski Beat and The Communards had copped it when I read the thread title.

Thats why I have my doubts. Heard a rumor a few months back about them headlining download, most prob not true but a major blow if it was/is.

considering how many have died from their own excesses, the number of those having been through the same/similar excesses and are still alive is surprising.

A shame. I used to be a big fan of A7X when I was younger (I say that as though I'm really old, when really I'm only 19 ), and it's never nice to hear that someone so young has died. He was always very 'open' about his drug use though. They sort of stopped mentioning it after 'City of Evil' came out, but interviews prior to the release of that album gave the impression that they were sort of 'boastful' about how much they could handle - particularly the Rev. I wouldn't be surprised if it was somehow implicated in his death

RIP. His talent and input into the band will be missed!
