Sugababes
Do you think they work without Keisha?
I don't think they do. I like Jade, she has a nice voice, but they don't seem to have any chemistry what so ever. I liked Sugababes 2.0, and 3.0 but 4.0 isn't as good, in my eyes... Thoughts? |

It seems that sales wise Sugababes 2.0 were the most successful.
Angels with dirty faces is their highest selling album Push the button Freak like me Too lost in you Are their best selling singles (inc About you know 3.0) 2.0 is also my best line up. As for chemistry -I think currently the 4.0 lineup are probably getting on well. However that's likely to be because they are in Honeymoon phase and for their own individual reasons happy about how things are. Whether it lasts I dont know but there is cetainly a pressure to make sure it does and that this is the line up change. For me I am not keen on 4.0 because of the manner in which it appears to have been carried out. I dont see them as the 'sugababes' because to me not only was Keisha the founding/heart and driving force of the group, she encapsulated the sugababe sound ...to me. However many people whilst appreciating what a loss she is to the group are not that bothered for it to make a huge dent in the size of their fanbase. They are now a brand and will be pro's at smilling for the cameras whatever is going on behind the scenes. |

OP you have an unhealthy obsession with slagging off the Sugababes, I am taking it as you being a big Girls Aloud fan which quite frankly is petty.
Either way this is your seventh thread on the subject. Lets hope these get removed like the last lot. |

They'll be fine, they a lot happier and more comfortable now and they have accepted Jade in nicely
plus there music careers will be fine with signing to America and collaberating with Sean Kingston ect |

No. They are fake in so many ways. It isn't Sugababes anymore.
How can they say they don't want to talk about what happened, and now they decide to leak more and more info. each week. Heidi, BYE. |

I think it will
so as long as they have the 100% backing of the record company, the right marketing/promo/singles....I think they could do well....I very much doubt Keisha is as bitter about it as she was before (which I don't blame her for) because she got a sweet solo deal out of it....xo

Just how desperate is their record company to hold onto the name. There's been less Doctor Who's

Signing an America deal isn't really the be all and end all, if you don't have someone who can put them on the biggest platform...cos be sure Jay Z wont be going all out for them, as if they were Rihanna. It's not like they have Cowell, who will thrust Alexandra on American Idol in April either! This duet with SK is much talked about, but remember he isnt that big in America anyway, 3 top 10 singles from 2 low selling albums, the 1st only did 500k and the second hasn't reached 100k (after 4 months on the chart!

These 3 girls who are now the "Sugababes" has had the heart torn out of it's very soul, there is also no chemistry.
2.0 was my favourite. |

anything that Jay Z touches turns to gold so they got lucky with him and i don't think Jay Z will underrated a group like them and Sean Kingston is famous enough
Sorry we will have to disagree about SK, cos he aint a big player...maybe if they got someone like Lil Wayne/Flo Rida (sells singles and radio loves him) we could have said something! Cos having SK on a song doesn't guarantee a song any airplay, as half of his have flopped at radio!

Jay Z is one of the shrewdist businessmen out there! He hasn't even bothered to meet them lol (apparently one failed meeting in August)!

You seem to be pinning quite a lot on this....and if he was looking at the Sugababes current figures in the UK, he should be thinking he probably made a big mistake! Personally, I dont think they will have a big hit single (i.e. hitting top5) and I dont see them selling many albums really! But, in fairness I never saw this when Keisha was there, and I see it even less now!

Sorry but look at the figures!
The last 2 singles have flopped sales wise! The wheels start coming off sales wise with the departure of Mutya (in terms of albums) and now the singles sales are dire! Look at Jay Z, he has signed the Ting Tings in November, met them and has been raving about them on radio etc saying how he will turn them into the biggest band in the world today and saying how he will produce tracks on their next album, yet no contact with the Sugababes!

The last 2 singles have flopped sales wise! And don't confuse chart position with sales. For instance, none of About A Girl's Amazon.co.uk sales factored in its chart position, and even the total number of sales made when it was priced at 29p have yet to be properly declared. |

You're lying. Both Get Sexy and About A Girl have sold over 100k.

So he was wrong. He was wrong about Cheryl Cole's and JLS's sales as well.... Delectable just likes to down the babes at any given chance. He will be gutted when they come back strong next year as the Saturday's will be gone by March and Girls Aloud will not have a new album out this side of 2011. Babe's will gain from this. |

Agree. Im thinking about ditching their next album. I cringed when i heard Jade on the new Get sexy version and i refused to download the Jade version of About a girl. I have nothing against the girl but i think it was cruel the way Keish was kicked out and Jade has no chemistry with Heidi or Amelle at all.
.Yeah how can you be kicked out of something you created? That was wrong, I don't dislike Jade, she's a good vocalist, but it would have been better for Heidi, Amelle and Jade to make a band with a new name etc. Luckily, I downloaded a full 6 song sampler with all Keisha's vocals, so that is my 'Sweet 7' album. |
