Just what did they have her wearing?
She's such a quirky looker on the Paris kitchen thing she did. All red lips and colourful tea dresses.”

I've not seen the M&S adverts, but the red lips and tea dresses worked for me!

Eeugh, can't stand Rachel Khoo. Far too twee for my taste, so to speak. Gimme Nadia G from Bitchin' Kitchen any day. If she cooked you something, you'd bloody well eat it, for fear of what she'd do to you if you didn't.

Exactly what I thought. Style over substance.

If she is the one I'm thinking of (exaggerated Italian accent etc - obviously the Yank equivalent of mockney) she surely dines at the Y?

Yep, that's her. Italian Canadian. Her TV persona (i.e. accent, attitude) is essentially a hyper-stylised version of herself, so there's an element of 'mockney' about her. No idea where she dines (thinking about it, you're probably right), but she does it for me.

As a straight ( married for 33 yrs) I think Anjum is stunning and lovely/ informative with cooking. Now Merrilees, is & always had been - IMO - an arrogant, self absorbed cook / don't like get presenting skills/ attitude etc. love most chefs/cooks - Angrla Hatnett is a brilliant chef, Ching etc. Nigella, Lotraine Pascall and Rachel ? - do my head in!

Hairy bikers & Rick Stein ( all the way - even as a veggie I do cook for meat/fish lovers.)

Love James Martin since his SaturdayKitchen too!

Sorry for quoting myself - I got it wrong.

Rachael Khoo isn't "Italian Canadian" and doesn't speak with an "exaggerated Italian" accent.

She was born in Croydon and has a Malaysian father and an Austrian Mother.

Here is a Metro article, complete with photo: How Brit Rachel Khoo seduced the French with Paris’ smallest restaurant

I'd agree about Ching-He Huang, but for nostalgia you can't beat a bit of Fanny.

I like Rachel Allen.
Lorraine Pascal is very attractive, but I can't stand Nigella Lawson. Too over the top for my liking.
