Mrs Glenn is currently watching TOTP and the above came on. Sacrilege is what I say!

Somebody needs to re-release the Candi Staton/The Source original.

I think their version is actually one of the best. But she has sang it better, like this for example:

Why not release the original Candi Staton version before The Source got their grubby little mits on it?! Still, I like the original, the remix and the Florence.... versions so I'm not complaining

I am getting fed up of this song being used everywhere
It seems new years eve it was on every channel
ok so there were the different versions but they can seem very similar.

how many times has this been released? once by candi staton and twice? by her and the source?

sorry but im sick of it and florences version simply isnt different enough to warrant another release.

I hate to be one of those music fans, but...

When I first heard the cover on her album I thought it was amazing, one of the best songs on the album itself. However, it's become so overplayed I'm almost sick of it :/

It's a shame, because listened to in its entirety it's fantastic, but it's constantly being used in snippets for various trailers and it's driving me mad.

I've grown more and more fond of Florence as (last) year went on.

the candi staton version must be 30 odd yrs old so its long overdue a revamp.

florence does an amazing job and it stayed in the charts for weeks.

What a pointless cover, just the original sang really badly.

It could be worst you could have someone like N-Dubz going "yeah you got da love innit, braaap!" I personally like the Florence album version. Apparently there are a few versions of it knocking about. I like the hollow vocals they add something and I don't usually defend covers!

Her version is truly awful. She just shouts constantly in all her songs and is regularly out of tune. It really isn't a patch on the brilliant original.

i'm sorry, but her voice is crap, to much shouting, and to mention another cover she has done recently, Whams "last christmas" that has truely got to be the worst singing i've ever heard, and i go back a long way with listening to music

but as usual BBC radio 1 love her, and their records get played to death

It's awful. If you put a turd in an egg cup I swear some people would still buy it.

I really like the Lungs album, I think there's some great tracks on there - but "You've Got The Love" is actually the one track on the album I can't stand.

I think the TOTP performance has done it wonders, it's gone to #2 on iTunes now and is just behind GaGa.

Will be her first top 10 hit in the singles chart. (Let alone top 5, possibly top 3/2 etc).

i love this version but one thing....florence put some sodding clothes on - i cringe watching her prance round in her short shorts - there's no need.

I think she has a terrible voice, I cant stand any of her songs. She whines way too much. So glad she didnt win the Live Lounge song of the decade with it.

The original is far better imo.

Love Florence + The Machine, but YGTL is probably the weakest on the album. Still cant believe she didn't release Howl or Cosmic Love!

It's finally reached #1 on Itunes, could go top 10 tomorrow and maybe higher the week after! I'm glad she's finally getting success on the singles chart and hopefully it might get the album to the deserved #1!
