Okay we find out the answer to a lot of our speculation Today and I'm sure we all can't wait. I've seen threads trying to work out who Wilf is and I'm sure this one has already been done but I can't see it anywhere, but.... Who knocks 4 times?

Big Hats off to the person who gets it correct... I'm going to set the ball rolling by saying it's the Doctor himself who knocks. (I'm just going off the fact that he seems to go around saying his goodbyes - this suggests to me a certain resignation to his fate)

I think it could still be something to do with Donna and Doctor 10.5. They both have DT's Time Lord energy. Perhaps they both merge back into the Doctor and trigger a regeneration?

Much as the 11th Doctor being the one who knocks would be cool, wouldn't that be "YOU will knock four times" rather than "he"? The 11th Doctor is still the Doctor.

Ah, well, it could be that the lady in Planet of the Smeg (forgotten her name!) could see a man knocking four times, but it didn't look like Tennant's Doctor, so presumed it was someone else.

The woman who prophesied the 4 knocks in POTD wouldn't necessarily know the doctor could regenerate and if she saw the 11th Doctor who looks different to the 10th Doctor knocking 4 times she may well think it was a different person

Not sure about it has to be something bigger but I do have an idea about the upsetting bit.

I have a feeling it's Wilf.

1) How close are they getting?
2) In the first part the woman on the TV made a point of saying Wilf had never killed a man to which Wilf replied "You say it like it's a bad thing."
That was a weird thing to put in the episode unless in part 2 he does or is faced with killing someone and has to ecide if he can do it.
3) In the trailer Wilf says to the Doctor in tears "I don't want you to die."
4) Why has Wilf got his old service revolver still?

For some reason I have a feeling that there will be the big battle/confrontation. Wilf and the others think he has won but the Doctor is still in peril. Wilf doesn't know where he is so goes ooking for the Doctor and starts banging and knocking on doors.
Are you in there Doctor? *knock, knock, knock, knock" and bursts through the door.
The Doctor and the Master are in there. The 4 knocks distracts the Doctor and the Master makes a run for it. Wilf goes to shoot the Master. The Doctor tries to get in the way shoutoing for Wilf not to shoot and Wilf accidentally shoots him with his gun?
The Master dies from a second shot by Wilf or escapes and the Doctor dies/regenerates in Wilf's arms as he and the various companions watch and weep.

Everyone at home sits home broken hearted.

Agree -my thinking is if Carmen can see the Doctor so well she can see the devastation coming for him- she knows he's a timelord ..

I had dibs on the four knocks being a knock on each companion's door. Perhaps they decide to force him to regenerate, but allow him to visit all the companions first.

Well we had The Master knock four times with four beats in the first part. Then we were told its the beat of Timelord hearts. Meaning that the Timelords are very much alive and had somehow caused The Master to listen for all this time. However I simply believe that the Timelords catch the Doctor and the four knocks are from Dalton signalling the Timelords will kill him in order to win the war... which in itself will destroy time. It's moving because the Doctor again has to stop them and by doing so 'kills' them off again. The effects of the process causes too much damage to The Doctor and Tardis and has to regenerate.

Although if you want the wild card, it could be Dalek Caan.
