It definitely makes a much brighter flash than guns normally do. Or, at least, TV guns. I don't know anything about real guns.

Is that the new Doctor hitting a Dalek with a hammer?

Great writing there from Moffatt! Bring bacK RTD!

Seriously though looks good.

The Autons are back?

I'm sure I saw one.
I hope so because I felt they were a bit let down with their last story.

(Or Nestene Consciousness if you prefer).

Yeah, looking again it is a proper gun. Then, the 10th Doc shot a gun tonight didn't he? 11 doesn't seem to be shooting anyone though does he?

Looks very very promising, I must say. But did anyone catch when the doc kisses his assistant, this happens at least once and almost every time, lol.

Good trailer.

Looks like an old school grey dalek,

A white dalek with an oddly shaped eye

...and from the look of the kissing scene the Tardis has partially materialised inside a wall (so it basically looks like an extra door added to the room).

Excellent trailer very action packed - liked the look on his face after the upper cut lol

OK, I'm calling it (and apologies if someone already had the same idea on another thread)...

When the Doc's outside the Tardis at the start of the trailer and says "OK. What have you got for me this time?"

Who's guessing that's the first time he actually goes into the 'new' Tardis console room... probs at the end of his first episode, after it has had to 'regenerate' itself too.

I love that bit. He looks absolutely shocked at himself!

I love him twatting the Dalek with a mallet too!

Exactly what I thought too. Judging by the fact that The Doctor is in his new outfit too, there's always a slim possibility that it's not the end of the first episode either. Bear in mind the location shoot pictures that have been flying around

Spoiler
with The 11th Doctor running around in the 10th Doctor's suit and Amy being there in her policewoman's outfit............sorry, drifted away for a moment there.

That's going to be one packed episode if he's got to crash, get out of it, meet Amy, do whatever the episode's about and have the reveal of the new TARDIS interior too.

Well, I don't care how much of a misery guts this makes me sound, I was really hoping we'd get away from the Doctor kissing his assistant and falling into the arms of various women, so that was a disappointment. Other than that, I'm very happy to see the Angels back, I like the look of some of the action and the man who is swordfighting - I don't know the actor's name - was completely brilliant in Being Human and Merlin so seeing that he's going to be in it has made my day. The new girl is beautiful. I'm sure by April I will be more enthusiastic about MS than I am right now.

Did anyone else spot Alex Kingston in the trailer?

trailer does look promising but can hardly form an opinion on MS, SM or anything else for that matter until there is more material to base one on. roll on series whatever it is they are calling it...

looks like its going to go downhill, losing all of the doctors morals and a ne ife, maybe a reborn master?

True.. but it would seem a bit odd his not going into the Tardis until episode 2 - and starting that story right from the end of the first episode.. unless it's a 2 parter o'course.

Though my theory is a little hampered by the absence of Amy in that scene.

If it is a two parter, then that would help I suppose. Also, the TARDIS has a lot of renovation to do judging from the brief glimpse of what I assume is the new interior in the trailer. I'm guessing it wouldn't manage it overnight.

There is a single shot of the interior of the TARDIS, looks interesting, two levels at least he is working down below with the centre of the console running up to the next level where the main console is I would guess. Here's a pic:

Good thing to, considering the TARDIS is the only permanent set, the last one didn't half look cheap, especially in HD!

It's good to see the Weeping Angels and Alex Kingston in there, because it means there will be some recent continuity (that is, not just the "classic" elements returning, such as the Daleks).

In a way, that makes tonight's ending a bit odd. Why the need to say goodbye to all his companions? It's not as if he's a completely new person: just a new face and personality.

And also, the fact that 10 has said "goodbye" could make it even harder to adapt to a new Doctor, because it's almost as if the whole character has just died.

The other doctor thats trapped in the alternate universe with Rose still looks like doctor 10 right, so if they ever fancy DT having a guest appearence it's still possible.

It's also possible to have an appearance in a multi-doctor story.

Indeed, they now have the first opportunity for that since 2005 (Time Crash excepted), because there was no way Christopher Eccleston was going to return following his comments about the role.

It certainly wouldn't surprise me to see Doc 10 returning; probably not in series 5 but maybe in series 6. The only stumbling block could be explaining how it all works, without resorting to "wibbly wobbly..." again.

He went around saying bye to everyone because he thought he was going to die ?

Hence he was so happy when he still had legs etc.
