Series Link fails

Having set up my parents-in-law's 9150 and having made sure that all channels are from the same transmitter - they have just reported missing episodes of Emmerdale and Coronation Street this evening.

Are there series link problems going on?

We never have any problems with our 9200 (but admittedly we use padding rather than series link).

Thanks,

Daz

Accurate-Recording and Series-Link worked fine for me tonight on those programmes, 9200.

Me too. No problems with series link over the year change yet. 9200T v21.

My 9200 gets in a devilish mood sometimes and drops an odd series link for no apparent reason.

I guess it is just checking I am still alive.

Mine has stopped taping Emmerdale and Corrie all the time since the digital switchover and when it does record them the times are all over the show, if corrie is on at 7.30 and 8.30 then it will tape both together from 7.30 - whatever time it feels like!

It's driving me a bit mad!!!

A possible explanation would be that your box is not properly tuned and is receiving from more than one transmitter. Have you tried a reset to defualt settings? If you have then have you tried a manual tune?

That appears to have been the problem during the first couple of days of ownership - something I sorted quite quickly. This problem seems to have been down to reception of the ITV mux. The inlaws had an aerial man in today who has realigned their aerial and fitted a new downlead (which could explain intermittent probs on itv I guess).
Hopefully the problem is sorted... if not, I'll be back!

Thanks,
Daz

I had a similar problem and got some useful info resolving it here. Seems to have worked fine since.

The thread is here:

Our 9200 has stopped recording Coronation Street on Series Link since last week.

I tried deleting and resetting the recording schedule but it has made no difference - it missed both episodes again tonight.

But everything else is recording OK (series link and individual recordings).

Any ideas?

1. Are there other recordings active immediately before Corrie starts?
2. From the EPG, select Find (blue) and enter coronat (part of the name enough to identify) and in the resulting list those episodes due to record will have a red flag beside.
