I have searched and get fanciful subjects i have never been at all interested in.
I hope thefore of some help here.
A message is now appearing on hte HUMAX ,,seemingly without reason..along the lines..
"The system will close down in ONE minute"
then follows YES or NO dialogue boxes.

Thanks automan..
The half a dozen times it has come up over the lastweek..
I have always been en -route with watching shows so have always said..
NO to a suggestded shutdown.
I only made the 'Auto standby' a facility yesterday after reading of it's value in these columns.. so i guess not.
also these offers are midmorning to mid afternoon..
The offers come in a multi colour box [orange purple] about the size of 1/8 Full screen..
Certainly i will let it close down next time to see what icon etc illuminates..meanwhile just wondering ..

In addition to auto off the menus have a power on and power off setting Settings/Time Power On and Power Off. Check to see if these are enabled

I had this problem one time after an update to the box. Somehow a power off setting had been entered (but not by me). So the box wanted to power off at the same time each day. This was pointed out by some kind forum member.

I feel so guilty Canonman..here in the Chilterns..
as we have had all of 10mm of Snow today and it is not even freezing at the moment..
The invitation to close down is now Daily and although Graham suggested this aspect as you now have..
I had a quick look then and found that nothing was switched on in that neck of the woods.
However..your input caused me to take a few minutes looking in that area..
I found that the Power Off was in a state of ALL DASHES
Like so --:--
I made that 'Disable' and thought i'd say Thanks to everyone..
Got half way up the stairs to the den..Wife moaning[Not in ecstacy]
but not appreciating the Green Sub-titles in Eastenders..
Luckily i went in to Playback mode from the Media and no sub titles there..
Perhaps there never is???
I will touch nowt else and await the mystic hour tomorrow..
Stan
PS Does everyone else get pictures of young ladies in Bra and Pants advertising..
Bravissimo Underwear to the left of the Input Box??
To whom do i complain
