I think you're right - can see the Doctor hanging down on a seat or wires as well.

It looks like an upper level. Just above the control room.

Looking at that trailer, it seems as though the series will become a bit more dramatic where as RTD liked the Sci Fi element and big scenes etc this looks a tad more dramatic. I do wish that Tennent had stayed in the series for a run with Moffat.

IMO get ready for DT saying the same thing in a year or three

anything that makes the Tardis bigger is fine with me

Could be beneath it even.

I may be wrong, but I don't think this is the TARDIS. If it is, it looks pretty basic and the scale is very small. I hope they've done a better job than this with the new interior.

I whole-heartedly agree. It could've been a completely different Doctor, yet remeaining the same. Exactly what Doctor Who is all about.

I think it is, somebody posted a link of the screen background from the interior of the TARDIS box, and they have the same circles and curved walls, they also confirm multiple levels.

I'd guess the control platform is the same size as the old TARDIS control area but now there is a lower level beneath it and an area at the back with what looks like a door, and another stairway from the control platform that heads to a level even higher. Certainly makes the set more versatile rather than having characters walking off to the right as a symbol that they've left...

Plus there is scope for money saving episodes where there in the Tardis and that I would imagine would save a huge wad of budget, as location shooting is very expensive!

they used to do it in the old days of Doctor who so i cant see why they cant do it now with green screen tech and stuff !

Although it's a very small pic, the new interior looks very similar to the old one...just a bit more up-to-date.

Looks like a work in progress to me. Probably from when he's fixing it, but not the final look.

Also at 21 seconds there's a close-up of a greyish Dalek's 'eye' - looking different to RTD era, with fins around it.

And at 22 seconds - some men in front of Magpie's Electrical...

I think the first line of the trailer "ok, what have you got for me this time" refers to the doctor entering the new tardis for the first time.

Also the trailer has a red phone box exploding, maybe another version of the tardis that had gone wrong,?

Plus the scene with river song falling on top of the doctor looks like its in the tardis, and it has a coat stand in background

Only if he'd
a) got the chameleon circuit fixed
or
b) bought some red paint

If that is the level underneath the console room, which seems probable, so far I like the look of it

definately below the contril room, as that's the EYE OF HARMONY containment unit, that powers the TARDIS
