Just setup my Foxsat HDR which I'm delighted with so far.

One small issue: I can't get the blue button to work - according to the manual it should scan the favourites list when in normal viewing mode (as was the case with my old Sky box).

But pressing it (or the green or yellow buttons) just produces a 'no entry' symbol on the screen instead of the favourites, or genre list.

Is there something obvious I'm doing wrong? Or have I misinterpreted the manual on this one?

Apologies for the newbie qn - I have searched the forum but couldn't find anything about this.

thanks for any help!

I think you may have the wrong end of the stick here.
Normal viewing mode I take it you mean just watching the channel with no menus visible, the blue button doesn't operate. However I can't see the no entry sign on my setup when I do this.
If however your are refering to when you have the channel list visible then the Green button toggles the favourites options and the blue button toggles the genre options

In normal viewing mode press List then the Blue button for Genre. Press the Blue button again and the subgroup bar lights up blue. Use the right and left cursor arrows to move between the different categories All, Entertainment, News & Sport, Movies, Lifestyle, Music, Children, Special Interest, Radio, Shopping, Gaming & Dating, Interactive and finally Regional. Press Exit twice to go back to normal viewing

Yep as Night Watchman says use the left and right cursor buttons or as I indicated just repeatedly press the coloured button to toggle through. Once on the Genre or Favourites option you want press the down cursor button to 'escape' the subgroup bar and select the required channel.

oops! yes I did misunderstand how this works.

thanks for the replies guys. So I guess there is no way to watch one channel whilst surfing the info bars of the others?

I had thought that you could use the button to scan the info bars on each favourite channel (as you can with the Sky remote), rather than by viewing the full table list of favourites / genre / etc.

You can, it's a bit of a fiddle.
Press the list button or press the ok button to give the entire channel line-up and make sure your on the red 'my tv' tab with TV in the subgroup banner. Scroll to the channel to save as favourite and hit the opt+ button then press the ok button while parked on favourite 1234 or 5 the little square will go from grey to a vaguely yellow colour, it's not very obvious, then press the opt+ button to escape. Repeat this for each channel you require. Press the green button and toggle through to you favourites listing you made and press ok then exit.
You should now be able to scroll the favourites only banner and scroll only through these channels with the up and down channel change.
The box I believe defaults back to all channels after being rebooted but you can just call the list up and toggle the green button to your favourite list and pressin ok will reset the favourite banner and channel display.
You can't however press the guide button and only see the channel line-up for favourites.

Just to add the box also defaults to the standard freesat channel list if you key in any channel that isn't within your favourites list and also if switching to ITV HD.
