Why would the Eleventh Doctor say that?


Don't all Doctor's have different likes and dislikes and that was only a specific wish of the tenth doctor?



I'm not complaining... I thought i was a nice reference back to the last new doctor, but I was just thinking.

Ten expresses disappointment at not being ginger.

Therefore Eleven was continuing this theme by expressing his own disappointment at not being ginger.

It's just an in joke

Doesn't mean two Docs can't like the same things. 5 and 10 both wore glasses just to look more intelligent and older. 1, 2 and 8 had very similar costumes.

I said that the Tenth doctor wanted to be ginger.

There is no reason that The Doctor in general just wants to be ginger.

In the 1989 TV story Battlefield, the Seventh Doctor reads a message that was left for him by a "future" Doctor.

In the book of Battlefield, it states that the "future" Doctor was ginger.



It's a nice little running joke about the Doctor wanting to be ginger, which also breaks through gingerphobia and hints at the Battlefield book.

And I think it's quite sweet.

Not necessarily. Mrs Chuff is also ginger (though we prefer to say "strawberry blonde").

You'll need to give me a day or 2 to dig the TARDIS out of the snowdrift where it's parked in my back garden so I can deliver it . (No really - we built a wooden TARDIS a few years back for my son and we're under about 18 inches of snow just now).

You have to get Reindeers to pull it out then... at one point you'll have to make a big "O" in the sky.

I don't have a brown coat though

BUT!!!! I do have an RAF greatcoat.

Didn't the Ninth also say something about wanting to be ginger, or did I make that up?
