When CE changes into DT, wouldn't Rose recognize DT from their TEOT2 meeting?

Now that Rose has seen Ten in 2005, before she meets CE, wouldn't she recognize his face and voice when CE regenerates into him at the end of series 1? I know he stayed in the shadows when he approached her, but she must have got a bit of a look at him, and his prediction would surely have made enough of an impact on her that it would have stayed in her mind, especially when she met Nine and the prediction came true.

After all, if an enigmatic stranger with a distinctive voice came and told me I was going to have an amazing year, I think it would stick in my mind pretty strongly. So when CE changes into DT, wouldn't Rose have done a double-take and said "Hang on a minute, aren't you that bloke I met before?"

Perhaps an off-screen conversation they had during "The Christmas Invasion".

Or else she really didn't get a good enough look at him!

Do you remember every drunken guy you've had a random conversation with?

I don't.

Rose knows, or suspects the doctor visited her before. Nine mentioned a bike she had for Christmas for instance. Who the hell knows what happened on the further adventures of 10 and Rose that exists solely in our imagination.

Personally I think 10 was wearing the Tardis key round his neck which interferes with perception (as seen previously). Rose saw a man but would not be able to recognise him again or remember the meeting.

I don't think she would remember him. He was in the shade, not really all that clearly visible from her perspective. She took him for being drunk from a New Year's Eve party - lots of folk talk about having a great year ahead at that time - I doubt she gave it any further thought.

She wouldnt remember him, a dimly lit corner, a chance meeting for about 20 seconds, there is no way she would recognise him, she would not have seen him as we did.

This is the third thread on this already!

The answer is: no of course not. If you bumped in to a random bloke for a few seconds one night, a person who you never actually even saw properly cause they were stood in the shadows are you honestly telling me you would remember them quite some time in the future after you had travelled the universe meeting all kinds of people and seeing all kinds of places? As for the conversation...she thought he was plastered, so even less likely to give it a second thought!

Ditto that.

Rose thought the Doctor was drunk, and had a fun, brief, twenty word conversation on New Year's Eve. She would never remember that discussion and would never recognise the shadowy, drunken bloke all those months later.

I saw a guy puking on the pavement on New Year's Eve a few days ago. If I meet him again in a couple of years time I probably won''t remember him. Particularly if I spend the next few months travelling through space and time encountering various life-threatening situations in the meantime (fingers crossed!).

However the meeting would be in the Doctor's future so he wouldn't be able to confirm it.

It hadnt happend at that point though as we follow the doctors timeline therefore that wasnt the first time they had met anyway

So theoretically if the Doctor could go back from NOW to the point to where he regenerated (which he cant as he cant cross his on timeline) into DT from CE then he would see her saying that she recognises him from that night

i think....

Yes, so I guess it would be like his encounters with River Song and Sally Sparrow, when they knew him but he didn't know them ("Ah...of course, it hasn't happened to you yet.")

And indeed Martha's out of sequence encounter with the Doctor in "Smith and Jones" which effectively rules out the argument that things don't happen until they happen in the Doctor's timeline! Rose did meet Ten first on New Year's morning, then months later, met Nine!
