I'm trying it for my band - I realise that a lot of teenage bands could try this, which is why we've started early! Join the group if you can, it will at least help us get noticed. Thanks.

Personally I hope that "stopping Simon Cowell" will become as much of an annual event as the Xmas no. 1 itself.

If putting up your band to stop the latest over-wrought X Factor dirge will do that then I'm behind you.

There's actually a few people on Facebook and the like who want to go "one step further" than last year and get an unsigned band to Christmas Number One in 2010.

I would personally love that.

Good luck – but isn't there a danger that the various anti-XF campaigns might cancel each other out. They'll all get a bit of support, but not one will get enough to match that drummed up by ITV, Syco and The Sun.

I hate these campaign thingies (no offence), i think XF winner will get xmas no.1 this year. I am a HUGE XF fan, ut even i am fed up of it ruling the xmas chart. Normal songs released the xmas chart week should be top, not re-entries to due to campaigns or XF winner.

I REALLY don't think Cowell cares as much as people think.

I mean who wins the war really in the long term? Cowell. He's likely to get another number 1 this week and then his charity single follows. Just accept it he's a multi-millionaire and he isn't going to be stopped in the mere furture. So childish.
