The Diamond Has me confused. Diamonds burn like carbon so surely a diamond would have burnt up in the atmosphere.

The Time Lady said the Doctor had it and could destroy both Timelords and Darleks? The timelines were kinda messed up, they must have a Doctor local to them and the references to the Doctor as a survivor. So maybe the local Doctor did use the moment from their perspective and created the time lock with it.

I very much doubt that the diamond would have been affected by the gun's bullet in the slightest.
The point was that it was knocked out of the cradle it was wired into, which was channelling its power. Still a much too quick and easy "fix" IMO.

The diamond still lives, and may one day get its own spin-off series.

Oh my god it must be true. It must also expalin how, having been killed from falling from a radio telescope tower, the dr is now IMMUNE from dyting from other much more massive falls such as out of a low flying space ship- it is all bcause, ever since the 4th dr dies, and 'the moment was prepared for'... 'the dr still has the moment'- thank goodness for that, phew-eee everything explained.
