Did Sarah-Jane know?
bingoman

When the 10TH Doctor went around saying goodbye to all his freinds the look on Sarah-Jane Smiths face had a look as if she knew he was going to die/regenate how did she know it was coming

And as for the likes of Capt Jack, Martha and Mickey they seem they did not know he was going to die/regen but how did Sarah-Jane without talking to him know

Martha/ Mickie are idiots.
Jack was too busy trying to get some.

Sarah knows The Doctor better than them.

Yep I thought 100% the same thing that look I think the little wave gave away what was going to happen.

Same as most people I suppose. Some can spot when something is wrong instantly and others are totally oblivious.

What are you people talking about?

When the doctor didn't reply and left, Martha and Mickey both looked upset, hugged each other and comforted each other, after which Mickey kissed her on top of her head.

Clearly they knew.

Jack knew as well, but he's not the sort to wear emotion on his face so openly. FFS, the Doctor saluted him - it's always been the other way around.

Exactly! She was around when Three regenerated into Four so she may have sensed something in the look Ten gave her and known what was coming.

Plus the unmistakeable sounds of the Cloister Bell could be heard through the TARDIS door. I can't recall whether that was sounded when Pertwee became Baker (it was certainly used for the subsequent Baker/Davison transition), if so she would also recognise the sound and know what it portends.

I just listened again and couldn't hear any bells in her scene.

Moot point anyway, as they were all aware he was dying, except perhaps Luke.

after the loss and grief jack experienced in children of earth
the doctor regenerating probablydoesn't have the same emotional punch, as he'll just catch him in a future incarnation anyway, whereas his other recent losses, are forever

Yep. Also RTD says as much in DWC, that she knows it is the end of Doc10.

She also got the best goodbye in SJA out of all the companions, and rightly so.

Quite true, he showed up at Donna's wedding and didn't even tell her to make her husband commit suicide.

Seriously though, even in SJA she thought he might be dying soon.

I got the impression that like the scene in SJA where the Doctor promised he'd see her again, and similarly with Wilf, there was some sort of understanding that there would be one last (silent) visit in store after which he would be gone forever.

Talking about Sarah Jane. Will her show continue still with RTD as the writer ?

Will we see the new Matt Smith Dr making apperances like Tennant did ? Or will that not be possible now with Moffat at the helm of Dr Who ?

Same question would go for Torchwood as well I guess, because we know Captain Jack will be appearing in Moffat's Dr Who.

I don't know about SJA, but when he told Wilf he'd see him one last time, he did see him again. At the wedding.

SJA is continuing, with RTD as the executive producer. He hasn't written for it since the pilot - but perhaps he might now.

Tennant only appeared in the most recent series, as a special treat for viewers once his departure was confirmed. It's unlikely he'd have appeared otherwise and also unlikely Matt would appear. It's not impossible, but it's harder to do crossovers when they are not part of the same production team and having co-ordinated story arcs.

The Doctor has never appeared on Torchwood, as it's an adult show.

We do not know that Jack will appear on Moffat's Doctor Who. It's pretty much confirmed he's not appearing in Series 5 anyway.
