I think they're still living off the glory of Chasing Cars, sorry ... its been their meal ticket for far too long.

If they cant write such a great song at the minute, they ought to think about doing a very clever, well thought through cover of something fairly obscure to create some renewed interest..

Snow Patrol were popular before Chasing Cars you do realize that don't you.
I think in 20, 25 years time, Snow Patrol will find themselves in the same position; a bit of a niche band playing to a pretty much established audience, unlike the true musical greats... Judging by the underwhelming response to my comments, it seems most people are passively agreeing with me... |

It's a great collection of songs. Yes they are a bit samey but so what, that's their style. Standout tracks :
Run Set Fire To The Third Bar Just Say Yes Chocolate Open Your Eyes and Chasing Cars of course. |

Just been reading about a young girl called Emma Curran from Glasgow who had been at the Snow Patrol gig in Maddison Square Gardens. Tried to find a link for this story from today's Sunday Post but wasn't able. She took along a banner that read " Flew from Glasgow." "Now I'm skint, U're so worth it."
Gary spotted the sign in the crowd and brough Emma up on stage. Apparently she wowed the crowd and Snow Patrol as well. http://www.myspace.com/emmacurranmusic |

Loved the first 3, Eyes Open was a bit meh, but One Hundred Millions Suns was awful compared to the likes of Final Straw, when I listened there was no stand-out tracks. It makes me sad to think they'll probably never release songs like "Run, "An Olive Grove Facing The Sea" or "Chocolate".

Snow Patrol first album Songs for polarbears had that american indie sound similar to the Pixies,The Lemonheads,The Breeders,Dinosaur Jr,Screaming Trees and Soundgarden My Bloody Valentine style.
