Rose is the only companion who doesn't know #10 has regenerated?

Obviously Rose is in the parralel universe so the doctor had to visit her in 2005. Therefore, even though she's happy with her doctor 'clone' she doesn't know that the doctor has changed.

Anyone else thought this? Or is it something that could be answered in the future. I always thought Mickey was in the paralel universe too.

Mickey stayed in the whoniverse after Journey's End, you saw him leave the TARDIS, tell the Doctor he was staying there and going to talk to Marth and jack.

It's amazing how many people missed that >_>

Well, will any of the companions know? He didn't speak to Martha, Mickey or Sarah-Jane, and didn't mention anything to Jack- although some of them may have assumed that he was about to regenerate since he visited them in that way. Donna certainly won't know, since she has no memory of any version of the Doctor!

Would the doctor clone change too? Imagine your fright if you woke up and there was a different (looking) person next to you!

I feel Sarah Jane knew exactly what was happening, and Jack may have as well.

Does Martha even know what regeneration is? Mickey would knowwhat regeneration is... but he's an idiot off course.

I think Sarah Jane realised. Not really sure about the others, though perhaps they might have relaised there was something a bit off in the nature of his apperence.

She understands the concept since Jack explained it to her in Utopia.

out of the ones the 10th doctor saw I would suspect that Sarah Jane and Jack would have known as mentioned in there return stories.

Sarah Jane has seen it all before with Three/Four and Jack has of course met more than one incarnation and experiences something similar himself every time he is (temporarily) killed

The clone is not actually connected to the real Doctor and is not a Time Lord. Why would he change?

though perhaps that is how it should be. Rose made do with her second hand Doctor clone so most probably hasn't given it much thought and is busy making babies with her version.

I believe that Sarah Jane knew what was happening, as did Jack. I think Martha and Mickey were too far away from the doctor to see what his mannerisms were.

I actually thought at the end of the episode when he went to see Rose that it was in the parallel universe. That is until she turned around and didn't recognise him.

RTD said in Confidential that Sarah Jane knew from all her experience of the Doctor that he was there to say goodbye - you can see it on her face as well as he went into the TARDIS

It also seemed to me that Martha and Mickey seemed to know he was saying goodbye by the way they reacted

He's a clone. Why wouldn't he change?

Don't thik they all knew exactly - I think they all (save Rose and Donna of course) had a feeling that something was wrong at least. Why else would he just make an appearence without staying for a chat? Jack would be wondering why the Doctor came all that way and then not say anything to him. I think Sarah Jane knew. Martha had regeneration explained to her and Micky was around when DT first showed up so had it explained to him as well.

Rose had not yet met the David Tennant Doctor - and wasn't 2005 before the time she had meet even the 9th Doctor?

Well obviously the one-off companions he didn't visit (at least on screen) don’t know but even out of the main ones I would say only Sarah Jane and Wilf (her face when she saw him and RTD said that she just knew) truly knew what was happening. Donna and Rose most deffo don’t know, Jack would most likely know but I don’t know about Martha and Mickey although the fact he didn’t stop and chat might have gave them an inkling that something was going on.

Maybe Doctor 10.5 felt a pang in his stomach , over in the alterncative universe with Rose as 10 died in ours. A bit like Yoda sensing all the Jedi dying in Star Wars episode 3!

Sarah Jane definitely knew- and is probably wondering whether that was goodbye or she'll meet another incarnation in the future.

Martha and Mickey might have realised something was up- or their reaction could be down to realising that the Sontaran was about to shoot them, and the Doctor had appeared, knocked over said Sontaran and gone again in the time it took them to fathom that they nearly died.

Jack probably thought the Doctor was looking a bit off colour, but all of a sudden had other things on his mind

Wilf knew and may well have told Sylvia.

Rose was set in 2005, everything else was 2006.

I was thinking, if we did ever see Rose again (I know, very doubtful), does that mean we could see David again as the clone?

I definately think everyone but Rose and Donna knew it was a goodbye and for those who know about it, regenration.

His facial expression was enough to confirm it as were their reactions. For me, besides the whole closing the chapter bit, I think it was Doctor's way of making sure they knew so if they did (or come to do so in a future episode) need to call on him for help, they would know he would have a different face.
