Rose is the only companion who doesn't know #10 has regenerated?

Sarah Jane definitely knew- and is probably wondering whether that was goodbye or she'll meet another incarnation in the future.

Sladen managed to get over the impression that she (a) definitely knew the doctor was going to regenerate and (b) she'll probably meet another version of him in the future (the latter being quite a safe bet I would say.)

And she did so without dialogue - that's good acting!

Regarding the Clone, my "ppprrroopphheccccyyy" is that he will be absolutely pivotal to events either in the final episode of Matt Smith's first series or his second, most likely the latter, and that the (temporary) return of Tennant will be whipped up into a major media frenzy. Of course if his US career takes off that would be less likely, but he's famously such a massive fan that I'm sure he would be very glad to make a return.

(on a side-issue, what on earth did he think he was doing when taking a role in ST TRINIAN'S 2?!)

I can't see that happening in the first series at all, and I desperately hope not in the second either.

A return from Tennant now would be like the return of Rose - something we thought we wanted, but didn't really like when we got it.

the clone thing was obviously devised so that DTennant could pop back every now and again should he so desire (even in 20-30 years' time should he wish, given the aging angle.)

SMoffat may not want to use him, but my hunch is that he will do so - Scots stick together!.

I reckon that MSmith's first series will end with a Dalek or Master two-parter (not that I really want one myself), and that Tennant's return will be kept for the end of his 2nd (or maybe 3rd) run.

Don't forget that SMoffat wrote "Time Crash", and multi-doctor stories (which a MSmith-DTennant meeting would in effect be) can often be fun. Heck, let's get McCoy, McGann and Eccleston back as well!

Yes he wrote Time Crash, as a 7-minute charity special for fun, featuring a Doctor who left a quarter century ago. There was no possibility of him over-shadowing the then-current Doctor. A "real" story featuring Tennant would be wrong at this time. Additionally, there isn't any great affection for the clone Doctor.

I think if there's to be a multi-Doctor story the logical time would be in 2013, for the 50th anniversary.

I think that only Sarah Jane really knew what was happening, she kinda did a nod thing to the doctor, to say that she knew what was happening

I like to think that Rose does know because 10.5 could sense that 10 regenerated. They are sitting down one morning at breakfast and he turns to her and simply says "he's gone". Rose shuts her eyes, takes a deep breath and finally moves on with her life. Call me soppy but in my head that's what happened.

Poor Donna was none the wiser either .

Well that could be considered one of the few blessings of what happened to her. Indeed, Donna's tragedy is not hers, but Wilf's, the Doctor's and (most of all) ours. She is blissfully unaware of it.

Incidentally, in the commentary RTD refers to cut lines that explain she is no longer a temp, but is working for charities. He regrets cutting them - on some level, her time with the Doctor still changed her even with her memory loss.

That was my take also. Not Rose sighing over him going..I love your version BTW.
The meta-crisis Doctor would sense his other self was regenerating and he would tell Rose.

I think Martha and Mickey had a sense that all was not right and I really don't think Jack realised. I think he would just think that Doc 10 had forgiven him or understood somehow of Jack's sacrifice in the events of CoE.

Wilf knew but sadly Donna will never know(as far as we know for now) but Sarah Jane definatley knew and I think Luke had an inkling too.
