I have been using 1 cable since buying my Foxsat, when they first came out.

I want to try the iPlayer function so I have fitted a second cable and have done a factory reset.

When I try to do a software update it just keeps saying 'New software is not found'

These are the diagnostics:

HUMAX

FOXSAT-HDR

HPRSFCI 1.00.01

U 7.51

3768.0000

28 OCT 2008

POSTCODE

Tuner 1 : 10773, H 22000, 5/6 Tuner 2 : 10773, H 22000, 5/6

Strength: 90% 90%

Quality: 90% 90%

You will need to do it via a usb stick as version 1.00.01 doesn't support the current over the air downloads

Click here for humax firmware update page
http://www.humaxdigital.com/uk/suppo...ategory_seq=65

you can also update the loader version from here.

Thank you very much. I have updated software and loader, I also have access to the iPlayer now.

The update process is a lot simpler to carry out than the instructions imply.

I'm a little disappointed when using the epg with two tuners enabled. I was expecting to carry on watching the existing channel while browsing the epg, as all my other digital boxes allow.

Press schedule then red to access the buffered epg. Pressing guide takes your tuner for up to 30 sec to download a new guide before background playback resumes.

How and where are you getting IPlayer?

I got a new box yesterday and the firmware automatically updated itself but no IPlayer. Device is on network and sitting happily witn an IP address.

On a BBC channel press red to get the interactive streams, enter 5483 (live) as a page number

Thank you.

That's great. I thought having a second feed would have cured the delay problem. It's a pity the guide button doesn't do this by default, then update while your browsing.

I'm thinking of getting a second HD-R and pipe recordings between the two, or via my 2TB network storage drive. I suppose I'd better start another thread for that.
