I agree we know Captain Jack likes bloke but he does insist on pointing it out everytime he appears. Don't wish to sound like an old fart but I remember DW when you just thought is sometihing going on between the Doctor and Tegan but you never new and I prefer it that way.
I've always liked Timothy Dalton. I liked his Bond and his performance in Framed with David Morrisey.

Thank you for posting this. It has indeed been deeply annoying and repetitive, but it seems that anyone who states this is normally shouted down as homophobic. Your post validates my feelings somewhat, I think.
There is nothing wrong with a writer using their work to make a point, but there's such a thing as overkill.

Personally, I always thought it was Nyssa on the receiving end of all that Doc-love...

Dr + Nyssa = entirely possible but somehow "inappropriate."
I know he normally goes for brainy/aristocratic lasses (Madame de Pompadour) rather than brassy/mouthy ones (Donna) - which was part of the fun with Lady Christina De Souza (deliberately presented as his "Irene Adler", an ideal woman / companion whom the requirements of long-term character development required him to reject).
But my hunch in this specific case was that Tegan, being Aussie and all that, "made his mind up for him", shall we say...
