He drives me nuts with his religious banter, but he's still awesome. Puts me in mind of a French Mastiff who just knocked the flower vase over and left little mucky pawprints all over the cream carpet at times.

I don't think many would nominate Stephen because they need to have someone in the house to discuss/debate or argue with just to keep their brain-cells active.
The greatest criticism or problem raised by most housemates past and present is sheer boredom and at least the 'talkers' make some contribution to relieving it.
Stephanie, Stephen and Vinnie are the most consistent debators and are likely to last longer whether they are liked or not because they make the largest contribution verbally, which at least makes the show slightly more interesting for us.
