I'd been out that night and didn't even realise she'd been knocked out! I tuned into the final and was wondering where the hell she was!

Definitely. I didn't mean "fight" for it like the others will.
Just maybe not be entertaining enough for Big Brother to show her us but, like I said, after tonight, I definitely don't think that now.

However, now you've said that, I do think the best way is to see little of her for the first week or so and she will grow. A bit like Sophie.

What we will see of her in the first week or so, should they choose to go down that route with her, will be great though. Can't wait for her talks with Big Brother.

I recalled watching her doing Oscar commentary on Sky(?), very forthright and yet funny, and to me, very agreeable.

I thought Stephanie's reaction to the rest of the HMs was great, the way she just sat there and waited for them to come over to her. I'm surprised she's doing the show though, I know she did Strictly, (and it was shame she went so early), but the two shows are in a different class, and I wouldn't have expected her to do this one. Anyways, I'm looking forward to seeing how she gets on, I'm expecting her to be the type of person that makes sure she always gets her point across and is quite a big character, but in a subtle way (if that makes any sense at all, which I don't think it does )

Did anyone watch any of the LF last night? If so, did Stephanie get upto much?

I watched it for a while, until about half past one, and they seemed to go for a break every time she got involved in conversation with anyone who wasn't Vinnie or Stephen!

For the first ten minutes or so she was talking to Vinnie about LA and their dogs and wanting to go to bed, and the sound kept cutting off. Then they both talked to Stephen. There was some madness about Stephanie leading everyone in a synchronised carwash dance, which I'd love to see,personally.

For the rest she was just unpacking in the background and later putting face cream and stuff on. She also went to the diary room to get a vanity case that she'd requested. She has suitably glamorous nightwear and slippers and no clown thing on her bed.

No, no, I've been a fan of hers for years

(I did think she and Vincent were super though - dead funny!).

I like Basshunter too - he sung on the final BBBM of last series (I remember him dancing with Siavash at the end!). His music is really uplifting

I was a bit sceptical about this year's lot directly after the launch. But having watched them for a couple of hours afterwards, I felt a bit more optimistic that this could be a good series after all

Just wanted to say I have loved Stephanie Beacham since the days of yore in the fabulous and wonderfull series Tenko ,.
She excelled , along with Stephanie Cole , Ann Bell , and many more was one of the best ever series from BBC .

I hope she does well in BB , I am not sure its the right place for her , but I hope it proves me wrong

I know what you mean - BB is a far cry from the sparkle and class of Strictly!

But I'm thrilled Stephanie is in the house. She brings some much needed style and glamour to the place

I remember her and the rest of the cast of Tenko appearing on Paul O'Grady and thought what a terrific series and cast. I wish I'd been a bit older when it was on so I could have enjoyed it.

Can i join in with this? I've followed her career a lot. She's been in many of my favourite TV shows.

From Dynasty, to Bad Girls, to Corrie. Plus she always seems to me like someone who would be very nice to talk to, with lots of acting experience as well

I wonder if the older celebs will gel together eg. Stephanie, Vinnie, Stephen & Heidi. I'm sure they could teach the young ones a thing or two.
By the sounds of it with Nicola, Stephanie will become the "mother figure" within the group aswell which I'm sure she'll be fab at.

And I agree. I find Stephanie fascinating to listen to, even if it's just talking about face cream! There's just something about the woman. She's got star quality.

Yes, I think we could see Stephanie play a nurturing role to the likes of Nicola. It would be nice to see that side to her because far too many people will have her down as an uncaring snob who only cares about herself.

I think her and Stephen will spend a lot of time together because of age and because he's quite intelligent and opinionated (I feel Stephanie needs to be around people who provide stimulating conversation). And Vinnie seems to like her - they were sharing stories of life back in the States - so they have that in common.

My fear was Stephanie might become lonely. But she seemed to be getting on with everyone, albeit on different wavelengths.

I'll never forget an interview she did when she was in Bad Girls, she spoke about Joan Collins and revealed some secrets about the Dynasty set. I remember it really fascinating me at the time.
I hope we see more of her and BB don't give her the whole "Boring mum-stereotype".

Stephanie spends a lot of time in Morocco apparently.....it would almost be considered unpatriotic if you didn't support her!

Ahh ah, I note a few familiar faces in here, Sid you changed your name, its nice to be among familiar faces anyhow, Steph is a legend as far as I am concerned.
Though what the hell she is doing on BB I will never know, seems some people have her down as snooty, dont they know about her hearing difficulty.
I love her, she is a fine intelligent actress, too much for her housemates I;m afraid, she should leave them standing.

I will enjoy watching her and hope she can stay long enough for some of the more dim witted posters to learn to appreciate her, just honestly cannot believe she is in the house. Wonderful!!!

Another Stephanie fan here! I think she's great, I loved her in Dynasty, The Colbys, Tenko and Bad Girls. She and Amanda Barrie were hilarious. I wish I could find more clips of BG on YouTube, I haven't seen it in years and they had so many brilliant moments.
