I can't believe where the time has gone. I remember skipping school to go and see Gary Moore at the Apollo in Manchester. Phil Lynott appeared on stage as a guest for a few songs.

I then saw Phil outside after the concert, he was chatting away to several of us. A great guy, then a few months later he had died.

I quite like some Thin Lizzy stuff, and have the better tunes on my iPod. But wow, 24 years ago. Where has the time gone, I can remember hearing it on the news, very sad.

Phil Lynott was responsible for writing the best ever theme tune to TOTP - Yellow Pearl.

i found lizzies material patchy tbh, i loved some (dont believe a word) but wasnt so keen on others... however, lynot and lizzie were a great, unique , individual act that enriched our charts. pity theres no one like them today.

Can't believe it was 24 yrs ago yesterday that Phil passed away. I really liked Thin Lizzy. They made some great music.
I was watching some Elvis the other night and he died in 1977. John Lennon 1980. Marc Bolan 1977 and Karen Carpenter 1983 to name but a few. I don't know where the time goes.

I loved Thin Lizzy. I saw them three times including around the time of Live and Dangerous - and Phil Lynott wasn't just the leader, he was the heart and soul of the band.

Favorite tracks: Still In Love With You and Old Town (from one of his solo albums)
