About time Mikey and Melanie had their own thread. I'm really looking forward to seeing these two. Hope this is a opportunity for everyone to see what a genuine guy Mikey is.

Have to agree- as a huge Boyzone fan since I was 8 (I'm now nearly 24) I will be supporting Mikey all the way!

Mikey's always been my favourite but was shocked he was doing something so public because as he's said himself in the press interviews it's so out of character for him. But hopefully it'll let people see what a genuinely warm and funny guy Mikey is.

He seems to have found a good mate in Danny Young, check out their video interview here on DS in the Reality section. That with others that came out yesterday - they just seem to be teasing each other and just enjoying the whole experience.

Best wishes to Mikey and Melanie! He's a really nice fella, hope he goes far in the competition. Would love to see them win it, but don't want to get hopes up too early!

I'm sure he was terrified like most of the rest but I just loved the way he could smile and see the humour of his situation. Loved the silly moves on the ice during practice. Go Mikey and Mel!

He is my favourite so far! Melanie (along with Frankie) is my favourite female pro and obviously Mikey is lovely!

He seems to have a great sense of humour, along with Danny Young! He'll be great entertainment to watch.

Huge Boyzone fan here too. Wishing Mikey all the luck in the world. He's had a tough few months and as he said himself, this show has really helped him regain a focus again.

Yeah im backing Mikey and Mel. I hope he does well. He has had a few tough months and i want him to do well and make Stephen proud. He is partly the reason why he's doing it.

I can just imagne Steo looking down at him cheering him on and ribbing him for the sequin tops and satin shirts.......as Mikey is the shyest one out of all of them.....

From what ive heard the boyz will be trying to get along to offer him support. But Ronan has a tour of Australia kicking off soon, Shane judges a talent show on Sat and Sun nights in Dublin and Keith is back filning Corrie. I hope they can be there this week but with their busy lives who knows? Lets wait and see!!

Out of all the "celebs" in the show, he's the one I'm really looking forward to. I hope he does well, but I don't think there's anything to worry about. He has a lot of fan support, and well deserved.

I don't really know that much about Mikey but he came over very well in his VT. I really like Melanie.

I'm really looking forward to them. Mikey looks to be quite good from the snippets we have seen so far, along with Gary, Keiron & Danny.

He appears to be fearless which i think is crucial for ice Skating.

He has always been lower profile than the other Boyzone lads but he seems a really nice guy.
