Just heard on the radio that last week was a record week for single sales, more sold than any other week in history. 45 songs with 10,000+ unit sales, compared with only 2 for the same week 5 years ago. Amazing! The rebirth of the single?
Yet the music industry continuously whines how they cant make money. They were years late in joining the internet trend, and paid the costs. Keep with the times, and theyll find their audiences. They also seem to forget kids prefer spending their money on video games these days than records.
Well the industry is making less money. And there are more things for people to do with their leisure time than in the golden days of single sales...as mentioned, gaming etc.
