Same here

And tbh I think anyone would've lost patience with Georgina - imagine if she'd been partnering Brendan

Although, in the lull between series, I'm willing to give my imagination a treat

Out of interest, who do posters think have made the firiest (sp?) partnerships - the 'love to hate each other' duos?

Ola and Dom Littlewood - if she hadn't slapped him then James would have done

Mods, please merge this with the "Jordanettes" app thread as it mostly is. Thanks

James is a very good latin dancer, but never had a celeb who was good at latin. Pamela may be the first to give him a chance to do some more impressive latin.

I agree that he has been a good teacher, as Cherie had a very weird way of writing everything down and then trying to memorise her steps by reading her notes, and Zoe was a slow learner too, so he did very well to get them so far.
Choreography wise, James has gone for simple routines but ones that make the celeb look good. If he does discuss the choreography with Ola, she is well able to contribute.

Maybe this year, we will see some exciting latin.

I wouldn't actually, this isn't all appreciation and it's a discursive thread, so it belongs better here I think

Let's hope so! Although I have a feeling Pamela may be better at ballroom...

I'm OK with James. Neither harsh critic nor avid fan and although I think some of his comments can, at best, be described as unguarded I can usually understand why his past conduct has sometimes been hot headed.

I wonder if anyone will agree with me, that he would make an excellent replacement for Bruce. Without nearly as much presenting opportunity as Anton I think he comes across very well.

I think he's way better than Anton at presenting (and Latin, but no one really needs to point that out do they, I suspect I'm better then Anton at Latin )

Hoping he gets a good run this year, don't think he's got a winner with Pam, but I think they could be a great deal of fun together.

Sorry, but with all due respect, I could not disagree with you more.

Fair enough - it's a forum.

It's well said for someone to say they hate someone they don't know? Sorry, but I would respectfully disagree that it's ok to hate someone without knowing them properly. But you are of course perfectly entitled to dislike him, hate is a strong word though

Thank you for advising me of my emotional entitlements! Perhaps we had better just agree to differ, most respectfully, of course!

rehabilitation sounds like something they do to prisoners or drug addicts. What's the poor boy done?

I warmed to him last year on his ITT slots & thought he came across really well on the clips i've seen of the Pro Tour.

James was the main presenter of the Pro tour and he was very good at it, I have warmed to him considerably, he also took part in the Dancing on (with?) wheels competition for able bodied and disabled teams that Brian Fortuna ran. He was head judge and again showed himself in a very good light.

I don't dislike James to the extent that I did during the John Sergeant debacle, but he's not one of my favourite pros. And that has a lot to do with his choreography which just never seems to grab me (his Rhumba with Cherie being the exception).

I prefer him in a presenting role as opposed to in a dancing/teaching one.

I don't think James has changed he just been allowed to show more than one side to his personality. That said I still find him a repulsive hypocrite.

He says vote for the dancing in series 6 but not in series 5 when Ola's partnered with a man who makes John Sargeant look like Fred Astaire, and much as I loved Chris James was a hypocrite again backing Chris.

I've been waiting 5 series for a partner who can bitchslap him, I hope Pamela Stephenson is that woman. If she can keep Billy Connolly in line...

So he's a hypocrite for being supportive of his wife? And if he didn't support her he'd be called cruel for not doing so!

People's opinions can change you know, it's not a crime, it's called growing up and accepting that you may have been wrong. Why is James not allowed to do that?

I have no problem with people disliking him, that's everyone's right to do, but to call him a hypocrite and refuse to accept that he may actually have changed annoys me. You can't tell for certain until this series, and if he doesn't tell anyone this year to vote for the dancing, will you then believe he has changed?
