I don't understand why Jack is putting up half the Mitchell clan in his tiny flat seeing as he owns that great big house with only Max and his shadow as its sole occupants!! Fgs, he hasn't even got any furniture left in it!! Apart from all that, if he is in so much debt, how can he afford to pay the rent??

I know this is soapland, but couldn't they just swap homes??

Btw, one question, does Jack own the flat he is in as well, or is he just renting it?

I also wondered how Max was still managing to pay the mortgage on a 4 bedroom house in zone 2?

This struck me as odd too. I guess he is renting the flat, and is therefore letting Max live in the house for free or something.

You would think though, given what Max has done to the Mitchells regarding the insurance scam, that he would offer to move into Jack's, to make some sort of amends, so that all the Mitchells could move into the house, with Jack's approval of course!! Or at least Ronnie, Roxie and the baby, I know he isn't Phil's biggest fan.

I doubt that Jack has a never ending stash of money that he can afford a mortgage and his own rent without some return from Max.....another unrealistic financial situation imo, soaps are full of them!!

As other posters have pointed out in various threads, it was really strange Peggy ended up at Dot's of all places, it's not like they were best buddies or anything!

Dot and Peggy have always been friends they just hardly ever have any screen time together these days. And they've known each other for 15 years and Dot's not the kind of person who would see her neighbour homeless anyway. Peggy was also quite friendly with Jim as well when he used to be potman at the Vic.

As for Max living in Jack's house that is a complete mystery. Jack supposedly hates his brother so why hasnt he just kicked him out

How likely is that he will sleep with Glenda as well? coz although she Ronnie and Roxy's mum she not that old and still quite good looking for her age so i think at some point Jack will sleep with her making her his 4th Mitchell.

Free? Surely he's still got a mortgage on it and couldn't afford to let him live there free I think we'll see some scenes of him telling Max he needs some rent money soon or he'll have to find somewhere else. Unless, of course, Max has signed on and is having is rent paid by DSS (or whoever it is!)

I reckon Glenda will be another notch on his bedpost And I don't think he's quite given up on Peggy yet

How most of the characters can afford to live in a square like that in zone 2 is beyond me.

How do Heather and Shirley manage to find £1200 a month to rent a two bed flat?

Is any woman safe from the man? Maybe Dot Cotton should go back to Nigels for a while

Would the DSS even consider paying rent of a 3/4 bedroom house for just one person living there??

Ok, whatever about Jack "notching" Glenda, I think even he would draw the line at Peggy and Dot!!

But then again, we have seen the ludicrous pairing of Darren and Heather, so, anything is possible!!

Shirley used to live there by herself! on a cleaners wage from the Vic. I think it is supposed to be3 bed as Libby and Chelsea used to have their own rooms. Unbelievable.

Hur, Pat's house is the best one. They all supposedly have their own rooms. It's like a Pandora's Box upstairs!

Wasn't that the flat where Jase died not where Shirley and Hev are living?

Shirley lived there on her own when she first came, but got chucked out. but Shirley & Hev still have a 3 bed flat on the square which i guss ben is sleeping in now.

Jack owns his flat and should have more money because he's now the sole owner of R&R.

But he still needs to chuck max out and get new tenants to pay for the mortgage.
