Shame Tarek went - he would have gone earlier probably were it not for the need to keep the women watching (probably their best looking candidate for a while).

I think we could have a surprise winner - a valedictorian from a certain south coast university perhaps.

I didn't google it but wanted to find out more about the series so looked on Wiki and tried to cover the screen of the winner - and failed...

I think that Lee is a slippery snake too, but I suppose that is part of the 'game', though I still cannot understand how he has been allowed to miss 2 or is it 3 tasks for Jewish holidays.

I would have thought that anyone with strong religious values (not that he shows them in all other parts of the series) would have checked the filming sheduale before taking part.

I know the winner and it doesn't bother me. There's a trade-off: sometimes I enjoy an episode more if I know how it ends because I can pick up on the elements that led to that conclusion. For this series I am using Wikipedia a lot because I can't be bothered to make my own notes or do my own research. The US version doesn't seem worth it. With the UK version I make more of an effort.

I think Lee goes beyond slippery and is actually dishonest. As I recall, one time he told the others Trump had said he was to be PM, which wasn't true (from what we saw).

I'm ambivalent about Ally. Her "blood on the walls" speech was a bit scary, and she's good at organising her coven. And she made some poor decisions as team leader. On the other hand, she's probably the strongest candidate left and I do love competent women.

Ivanka is truthful, she doesn't mince her words. However that is business. People are criticised but, at the same time, if they are good that is also highlighted - and they may be the best candidate for the job.

All the Apprentice candidates will have used to that from day one in their careers.

I do not like Ivanka.

She misses the point, and always ends up agreeing with her Dad in the end anyway. Although, that's not too much different to any of the other advisors I guess, and one of the things I don't like about the US version. The others are just yes-men to Trump and Ivanka is one of the worst at it.

However, she's practically a genius compared to Donald Trump Jr!

It seemed to me she makes some good points sometimes. With Brent, for example, she seemed to have the best chance of communicating his faults to him.

As you say, they all do that. It's part of the formula; Trump has to be made to look good.

I agree that Carolyn is better than Ivanka, but I don't know that any of the others are (including Trump). And Carolyn can get a bee in her bonnet about something relatively unimportant, too. Eg the whole cheerleader exclusivity thing, which didn't even affect the task outcome.

Other than perhaps stating the obvious/bandwagon-jumping with Brent, I personally think she's about as useful as a chocolate teapot - having her there is just an extension of Trump's ego.

I did say something along those lines in my post but it was edited down/removed by the mods for 'legal' reasons.

Anyone else find Sean really creepy?

Can't stand his lecherous behaviour towards the women (although I have an inkling he's gay so it may just be a way of covering that). He has the typical city-boy look and a terrible haircut. His accent grates on me aswell.....ok, rant over

Hoping Ally wins

The difference between this version and the British one is how poor the tasks are on this show, and the lack of emphasis on them, it's all about the boardroom, think the British version is more balanced and this is why it's better.

Agree. This is a week 3 or 4 task in our version.

Anyone who ever says during a task that they are really confident about winning means that they are bound not to.

Definitely the hair....something about the mouth aswell. And his creepy faux Americanisms. Ok, maybe I'm being too harsh here!

Changed my mind about Ally after the last episode, don't think any of them are worthy winners. Funny watching them turn on eachother and squirm their way out of situations though, great for entertainment purposes.

Ok someone has got it wrong - they either want familiar or innovative. Its going to be a very odd task if the answer is to not change much.

Yeh wish they wouldn't do that. The editing makes it obvious who is gonna win and who is gonna get fired all the time.

At least with Sir Alan, you never know who he is going to fire most of the time until the last second. He normally teases that someone else will get fired.
