Disagree. His Lebanese heritage explains a lot. I thought Cubic Eye's post was insightful.

He called him non British because of his race. He also stereotyped him. Not apropriate in my view. Sean is just cheesy.

...As for Lee - oh, come on! A little boy just out of college, with everything still to learn and not a clue how to run an event or instil confidence in the client, never mind running a large corporate organisation. I shudder to think what became of the Trump company he was given charge of... oh yes, come to think of it, the property market went belly-up. Surely no connection...?
Whatever you think of Lee, he won 3 out of 4 times as PM and was the only one to lead 4 times. He also gained the respect of a difficult client who admitted he'd done a good job whilst we mysteriously weren't told how much each PM raised for charity. So your account is pretty skewed.

I doubt the global economic slump can be down to him either.

Actually I'm a she, but never mind, you weren't to know that! And what I meant was that Sean wasn't exactly your bog standard average British bloke because he'd grown up in a very mixed cultural heritage. If you want to call that racism or stereotyping that's up to you, but everyone takes on at least some of their parents' characteristics, and the average Lebanese person simply is more effusive and openly affectionate than the average Brit. That's the norm in Lebanese culture, and if you want to call that a stereotype then go ahead; perhaps, like Margaret Thatcher who notoriously declared that there was no such thing as society. you don't believe there is such a thing as culture. We'll just have to disagree there!

Just finished watching the final (late to the party as usual).

I guess the right person won in the end, even though I wasn't keen on either through the series. I think Sean is the better leader of the two, and yes his experience does count and clearly shines through. If this was for a true apprenticeship, then I think Lee would be the better choice, however, as we know, it's just a job application.

The final task itself was interesting. On one hand the concert seemed to be the easiest of the two to make a success, however it seemed to involve far more work than the Hockey fundraiser so in a way they balanced out.

Lee shot himself in the foot with the team he picked, and he seemed doomed from there on in. What on earth did he see in Lenny that no one else did, in order for him to put so much trust in the guy? It was one thing to pick Lenny (as Sean picked Tammy), but to then base his other picks on what Lenny thought was a stupid, stupid mistake, and one that cost him dearly.

Lee's inexperience was also obvious throughout the task. Although he pulled it together in the end, I do wonder how well he would have done without the two women from the charity constantly helping/telling him what to do though.

I still dislike Andrea intensley, however she did seem to do a good job working for Sean. There might be a reason why she worked so well for him though - did anyone else get the feeling that she is smitten with Sean? Everytime she looked at him her eyes would go all dreamy. (*shivers* please make that mental image go away. )

All in all I felt almost like the final task didn't matter that much, which combined with the one contestant doing really well and the other just hanging in there, made the whole final show seem a little lacklustre. Which made for a slightly dissapointing end to what has otherwise been a pretty good season on the whole.

And one more thing - DT, if you're going to read your lines, at least get them to put the cue cards in line with the camera so that you aren't looking off to the side like an idiot all the time!

I thought the final episode was very poor, and surely contributed to the decline of the series in the US. Seeing Lee caught by the sponsors with no ideas, was echoed by seeing the programme makers trying to pretend Lee had an equal chance of winning. The fakeness was too transparent.

I had felt Andrea was competent early on, and although she didn't work well with Ally and Roxanne, I wonder now whether that was more the fault of those two than Andrea. I liked Roxanne a lot, but she didn't seem to speak up much (except in interview to camera, which does no good), so maybe that's why Andrea tended to take the lead. Ally had a lot of energy on sales, but was poor at everything else and was, I think, the more evil of the three.

Its really quite simple.

In the last task of the series, if you are a finalist, there is only one thing that you MUST do.....meet Trump at the entrance either off his helicopter or out of his Limousine.

If you don't, you're a gonna.

Anyone know if Sean and Tammy went out with each other. I alwaysfelt that the 'love' was more Sean to Tammy than Tammy to Sean.

He's dedicated a 'reviews' box to the left-hand side of the website, to house his ONE review

According to Kelly Ripa "He is a gift to television".

Shame he doesn't see the irony

Sorry to come to this so late but I've only just watched the final. I didn't catch Trump announcing the results of the car auctions. I saw Sean's reach $40k, but didn't see Lee's winning bid, it seemed to peter out after $27k, $29k...?

Was it announced, and what were the 2 winning bids, please?

Generally I find the show over-edited and even more "re-enacted" than Sir Alan's version.

sorry i'm so late in posting on this thread. i've only just discovered it!

i have to admit, i didn't like Sean to begin with, i found him a bit smarmy, and the fact everyone loved him cause he was British was a bit annoying. but i warmed to him in the last few episodes.

i liked Lee all along, but didn't mind who won, as i liked them both.

Lennie was the highlight of the series. i loved him

also Donald Trump's son

Hi everyone, apologies for bumping an old thread but I thought everyone may be interested to know Season 6 starts tonight at 00.20am it's been 12 months since they showed the last episodes. If it's like last year there probably will NOT be a repeat.

someone may want to start a new thread for discussion.

Hi Jepson, I had to bump the old thread though to let everyone know who has posted in it. Maybe you should get the the mods to change the title of the other one.
