And the resident train crash continues into part 3........rather like last series..hopefully not like series 3 where he was still getting in Kendra's way in the last but one task.

Oh heck, I'm so pleased others thought suiting up a poor unfortunate was cringeworthy to the max. Jaw droppingly tacky.
Where do they find these people? Rent-a-gob clowny man was just awful. And dont get me started on the Southampton graduate, It may be a red brick uni but it's not Oxbridge. Looking forward to the next few weeks, I'm so glad the beeb have finally decided to air these. |

I wonder exactly how many texts the team received after Brent started his 'mad' act compared with before? I would put money on it that they got more, which kind of justifies his actions. Shame some of the others were too busy fillibusting to emulate him or come up with a better idea.

Yes but its not a job for an appentice clown and there wasn't any really useful skill displayed in acting like one or much imagination required if you were eccentric anyway. I agree no on else even had that idea though.
The thing with people like Brent is, he is like a shot gun. He fires loads of pellets and most of them miss, but one or two pellets hit the mark. If any of his teammates had true leadership qualities, they would find a way to allow him to express his ideas and filter the bad ones, but keep the good ones. And find jobs that suit his more non-conventional manner. Take the first task. I can't remember the name of the leader for it, but Brent was suggesting ideas for a hook to get people to the store, she allowed him his crazy ideas, albeit dismissing them politely, but still actually listened to what he was saying. So when he eventually suggested giving away massages, whilst everyone else automatically screwed up their faces, rolled their eyes and were all ready with the "Brent's so stupid" rhetoric, she turned round and realised that it was actually a great idea. That's not to say the guy would make a great team leader. However, I think that such people are vital to the application process as it shows whether the other candidates can deal with, manage and utilise the strengths of non-cookie cutter personalities.

Am I the only one who saw nothing wrong with the dressing gown idea?
![]() Trump seemed to think they were cheapening the premium Gillette brand by wearing dressing gowns to sell it. That was more down to them still being in bed whilst Lenny's troops were probably made to get up and start selling at the crack of dawn.

![]() However, I thought them then linking it to the "Find out why we're wearing dressing gowns, by txting this number" spiel was weak. If it was me walking by, I would be like "We'll if you aren't going to tell me, I'm sure as heck not going to waste my time/money to find out". They would have done better IMHO to have worn the gowns and gone with a straight forward advertising pitch, with a simple "Txt this number to get your free sample". Quote:

![]() I didn't think Michael deserved the criticism. It's good to have ideas. The team leader should have enough sense to reject the bad ones. |

If everyone comes up with ideas, and the team leader decides to go with idea 'x', then whose fault is it if things go wrong? The person who came up with idea 'x', or the person who chose to go with idea 'x' out of all the other possible ideas? Or if there were no other alternative ideas, again is that the fault of the person who came up with the idea, or the fault of the team for not being creative enough? Either way, I thought Michael shouldn't have had the level of criticism that he had thrown at him from Trump. Sure, tell him it was a bad idea, but don't blame him for the team's loss. |

I don't think there was anything wrong with wearing a dressing gown, as it made them stand out and would attract attention. And like you say, it was appropriate for the product.
However, I thought them then linking it to the "Find out why we're wearing dressing gowns, by txting this number" spiel was weak. Plus the fact that they bunched together all the times, so didn't make the most of their manpower. Trump should be able to distinguish an idea from the way it's executed and apportion blame appropriately. Or could that be the fault of his 2 relatively new henchmen not accurately feeding back what was what to him? Had they not been wearing the gowns, they would've lost by even more texts! |

Wow, is Tarek Dr Will's (USBB) baby brother?
![]() http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/9432/klkkj.jpg And after seeing eps 1 & 2, I'm liking this season. I'm glad the bitchy attorney got the boot, even though Brent is so annoying! I seriously couldn't work with him - he would drive me up the wall. I wish they showed them at a more sociable time, it's annoying how they show them so bloody late! |
