The first episode tonight is a 'review' episode. Which is great in USA land when you've been watching the episodes over 8 weeks but a bit pointless in BBC land when you've watched 8 episodes over 4 weeks!

Hmmm yes you would think they could miss the recapisode out.

There are usually some unseen footage in the recap episodes.

I guess they're airing it because otherwise it would have been an uneven number of episodes. And I guess they dropped the recap episode from season 4 for the very same reason.

You don't have to SHOUT THE ENTIRE COMMENTARY TRACK Donald, I can hear you!

lol I was just going to ask if anyone knew why The Trump was shouting the whole thing!

Don't really care how bad Brent is, fact is, everyone is treating him terribly. What a bunch of tossers.

Sean just gets more and more dreadful by the week - maybe its his sneery tone and mid Atlantic accent (not British or American). I don't think I'm come across someone so slimy in all the Apprentice series.

With Allie crawling up his Jap’s Eye it only reinforces his smugness. I’d like to take a hammer to his perfect teeth - It’s just not bally British! WotWot!

It's gone from doing my head in to amusing me.

'WHAT I THINK IS THE BEST SUV ON THE MARKET.' Sure, Donald. Sure you do. Wonder how much cash the 2007 Chevy Tahoe people paid him.

His daughter is insanely hot. Gotta feel sorry for the son - No DNA test needed there! 5 years away from krafty kombing at the most.

I felt so sorry for Andrea - the other 3 women on her team were just horrible. Amazing no one brought up the lost notepad and Ally getting stranded on Ellis Island cos she missed the boat. Surely that was the biggest mess up plus the decision to sell on the Island.

Still - Trump knows best. Why he bothers having his kids there I don't know - there were blaming Ally for the loss but as soon as he picked Andrea then they all agree she should have gone!

I didn't see it like that. I thought they were just trying to make things clearer, and fairer as there is always more to it than just one person doing badly. I did think that ultimately the right decision was made. The others were not bitches, they were just being truthful.

Pleased Lee's team won, I like Lee, and Charmaine seemed pleased too even though - for some unaccountable reason - she doesn't seem too keen on Lee. Maybe that will change now.

The two little Trumps look just like daddy. The boy (forgotten his name) is even aspiring to dad's hair!

Agree about Donald T shouting. Someone ought to have a word with him about that (but would he hear them? Is he deaf?).

My favourites are Lee and Roxanne. If they were my kids, I'd be proud.

Last series (shown in the UK), where Randall won with that nice girl on crutches being runner up, was much more interesting. They were both head and shoulders above the others in that series. Well, Randall is naturally head and shoulders above everyone, he could easily be a basketball player. I wonder how he - and the nice girl with dark hair who broke her ankle - are getting along.

I enjoy the series but think I prefer the British one better by a margin, perhaps I understand the British characters better and there usually is at least one character who may not win but makes you laugh and cringe and goes on to do better things.

I prefer the UK one because it feels like we get to know the candidates better in it. Whatever way they edit the tasks and boardroom focusses much more on their personalities and gives a more coherent overview than in the US one.

Also, I understand Alan Sugar's reasoning a lot more than Donald Trump's when it comes to who to fire. Or should I say, I agree with AS more.

More to the point, why the hell is it him doing the commentary at all? He's just a walking, talking ego.

I found it hard to tell. During the GM task, Andrea seemed like a good leader to me. She planned well, had the concept, had the elements that went to it, and executed. She also improvised well when it turned out that an activity wasn't allowed. I expect the others worked well too, but I didn't see any justification for Ally saying Andrea didn't deserve that win. She might be right, but with a 45-minute show the task only gets 15 minutes so is very superficial.

I do agree that Andrea has poor social skills. I guess she's never needed them, on account of being smart, beautiful, and rich. She was fired because the others didn't like her. If that's the right decision, well, OK, but I doubt it would have happened like that in the UK version.

One thing I noticed is that Andrea didn't seem to defend herself much. That was out of character. I suspect she defended herself lots and it was cut because it made Trump look bad.

I'm not an especial fan of Lee, and I do like Charmaine, but I didn't see her point here. Although he put Tarek in charge of the leaflet, Tarek was arguably the best man for the job. The other key decisions, ie getting up early and staking out the queues, seemed to be Lee. I suppose it's not rocket science, but maybe they wouldn't have got up so early with anyone else in charge. The work done on selling to hotels paid off too.

I agree. One thing Sugar does particularly better, is recognising when a team is ganging up on somebody and don't let it affect his decision much. With Trump, he usually says something like "but your team don't like you, so I guess there must be something wrong" and then fires that person.

if andrea is a multi millionaire why is/was she on the apprentice??!
sean is looking like a total cheeseball!it seems like hes trying the flirty approach with all the ladies last week it looked like he was getting close to roxanne and this week is was allie and andrea, although he looked like a slime ball when they were all chatting about andrea and she was stood listening and then he got up to chat with her and he looked dead uncomfortable in the board room when asked to side with andrea or the others!
i agree why does donald have TO SHOUT??and why are all the tasks based around product/brand name placements?.
both ivanka and donald jnr look like donald lucky they havnt got his hair or dribbly lip!
i think allie, roxanne and the other guy in their team will be iin the final they seem to be the strongest contenders.

Andrea may have been an alright PM - no evidence to suggest she was outstanding, she had good people (non-saboteurs) on her team - but she was hellbent on sabotaging the tasks when others were in charge. However I couldn't decide whether this was deliberate intent or just a reflection of the quality of her work, i.e. mediocre.

I'm not at all convinced she's as rich/successful as she led Trump to believe she is either.

I think Andrea should have gone too, I've loathed her for the last couple of episodes. I am so angry with myself, I've found out who the winner is. Quite ruins everything.

As the daddy of the Apprentice franchise, I loved this when it first started, but I prefer Suralan. Donald is no actor and his fake scripted exchanges make me cringe.

I prefer the UK version, only for the Tasks. The Tasks in the US version are nothing more than product placement, at least the UK version has Business related Tasks. I do think Donald fires the right people though, felt the last series Lord Sugar kept people in for just entertainment value, example being Pantsman episode , the wong person was fired.

I have to agree the 1st half of the recap episode seemed to be a lets all laugh at Brent episode, if he was so bad why did they pick him to be on there in the 1st place. Trump should have at least made him be PM before sacking him.
As for the "Brit" he seems to get slimier every episode I really hope he doesn't win.
