The Orange Shop in Chelmsford had three available this morning on PAYG for £150 each. Telephone Warehouse next door told me that they still hadn't been released yet on PAYG. Hopefully, Mobiles UK will have some shortly.

this has been available since november on Orange Pay as You Go.

My mate got one before christmas from one of the catalogues, think it was Great Universal or Kays? for £189.... Cool Phone!

I've been calling into my local Orange shop weekly for the past four months. They have never had any; neither could they tell me when they might get some. There were a relative few available in late Nov/early Dec. There haven't been any available on PAYG at all since at least Xmas. I've one of several hundred who have PAYG V500 orders outstanding with Mobule UK .

oh right, i know they were around before xmas, they then stopped? why?

was the reason given in the media. Motorola didn't tie up their supply chain in the same way that other manufacturers did with the result that they wasted all that expensive advertising (including TV advertising) in November and December. People, like me, were going into the shops to but the V500 but there were very few units available. Kays had some; Argos sold them for a day or two.

Hasn't it now been superseded by the V525?

No; the v500 and the v525 are virtually identical, the former being Orange and the latter Vodaphone. They appeared at around the same time.
