Those are still impressive placings for an artist who is considered country pop though. Looking at someone similar like Carrie Underwood who recently had a number 1 album across there, her lead single reached 11, which wasn't really a failure for her.

I'm sure Taylor isn't worrying about her singles when she has the biggest selling album in the States of last year, beating SuBo by 100,000

Taylor Swift is successful but she is bland. The only song of hers I vaguely like is You belong with Me.
She is a talented songwriter but her stage presence is just so boring.

i too think she's bland, and she's not my sort of thing, but i don't lack the ability to see why other people like her.

neither do i think just because i happen not to like her music that it is "boohawky".

People who says Taylor lacks stage presence doesn't know what they’re talking about. Fair enough if they come up with average singer, generic etc...but she completely owns a stage and sure knows how to put on a show.

To the original topic her Billboard Hot 100 placings are incredible for a predominantly country singer. If number #1s are your think then I'm pretty sure it will be guaranteed the first single from album three will be #1 later in the year.

Actually, considering the fact that the US charts are dominated by R&B and Urban music, the fact that a country/pop singer performs so well is pretty impressive anyway. The Billboard charts take radio plays into account too, meaning some massive selling songs never do well overall because they never get played on the many r&b radio stations.

Im not a massive fan of hers, but I think she is doing amazingly well to be getting so many top tens in a chart that has a big disadvantage against her style of music.

I only like Love Story.

I like Taylor, I dont like all her songs, but I like love story, Fifteen, Hey Stephen and you belong with me.

Love Story is fantastic but then the rest of her stuff is a bit samey, predictable and weak. She needs more than just one great single for me.

I think from this statement, it couldn't be more obvious you have never seen her perform live.

I love her! Her style of music & approach to fame. She's only a month older than me but I definitely think she's someone to look up to. Not for me, but for kids today, definitely!

My favourite songs of hers would be Love Story, You Belong Woth Me, Fearless, Jump Then Fall and White Horse but I think I have all of her stuff on my iPod... There isn't one song I hate.
