third? How come The Fame Monster is considered a second album when it's just a re-release of The Fame with extra tracks?

I think she should take a break for a while. It's been non-stop for her all year.

The Fame Monster was released on it's own in America, so over there a new album would count as third. I think Gaga is a workaholic so will churn out new songs continuosly.

I hope the qualilty of the music matches to Fame Monster though. Seems that she was working on the fame for a very long time.

If true, she's risking over-exposure. People will inevitably get sick of her if she's thrusted in our faces all the time.

I think she's risking burnout as well. She's been writing, performing and travellling non-stop for the last year or so - living the dream. Eventually it will catch up with her.

Yeah. Everywhere you looked in 2009, she was there, which was/is great for record sales...but she needs to take a break. For risk of over-exposure, as you've said, but also for her health. (not suggesting she's unhealthy) but she should take a break, sit back and observe/think about what she's achieved.

I cannot get her first albumn, I recently decided I liked her singles and wanted to buy The Fame and cannot find it! I don't really want The Fame Monster.

How come the more recent one with an extra disc is cheaper than the earlier single disc? Ahh well. Hope this helps.

I do not consider The Fame Monster a second album perosnally. I wonder why the american's do.

Either way, I am glad we will be seeing more of her at the end of this year for then to continue next year.

I thought she was releasing 'Speechless' next, and then 'Telephone' but I heard 'Telephone' on the radio the other night, so I'm assuming that's her new single.

I agree another album this year?!! Seriously she should take a break I mean if yiu release to many songs or albums people get bored of your music at least should at least take a year off then come back 2011, she's really risking over exposure.

So who knows, might just work in her favour.. but I do think she needs to take a good few years out.. i mean look at the likes of beyonce/justin/christina.. they all take a good few years out between albums and it doesnt hurt them one bit

I considered Fame Monster a second album, because there was quite a few new songs. I think she should've released Dance in the Dark instead of Speechless.
I can't wait for her new album, I'm already craving new Gaga songs.

Im looking forward to it, but I do think 3 albums in 2 years is a bit much. I agree that she could over expose herself or it could be better than ever. But seeing as were getting so many over so little time, I think it could be a while until we get her 4th album. I count The Fame Monster as a second album because everywhere but here it was released as one not just a re-release like in the UK. So if you like it could be her 3rd Worldwide album and 2nd UK album.

It's cause her label wouldn't pay for the standard edition of the FM to be a re-release, so it's released as it's own 8 track album. The deluxe edition has the Fame with it. So only technically is it a 2nd album over there.
Of course, her 'third' album will be her sophomore album.

Just for the fact she will suffer media backlash due to the constant release of material and desperate attempts at attention. People will get burnt out with her.

Don't listen to the terrible people here, who are talking about "over-exposure" and saying that she "should take a break". I love Lady GaGa and her music, I'd even like it if she released a new album every week :P I don't want her to go away for a break, I just want her to keep churning out loads of songs until she dies. Like, one album per year would do, plus some non-album tracks that are "leaked" through the year to keep us going
