Ok- so I know Gail going to jail over Joe's idiotic boat insurance scam is simply a plot device to re introduce Tracey

....but given the severe lack of judgement Gail has demonstrarted over a long number of years any good defence lawyer should be able to argue that she isn't fit to plead/ stand trial on mental health grounds

So that explains why Joe simply didn't sell the boat to raise money to pay the loan shark earlier?
