I wish the Brits was as credible as the Grammy`s...they should have credible categories...none fo this british vs international mainstream nonsense. The BAFTAs have managed credibility ... and so should the Brit Awards...I have always thought that the Brit Awards themselves look so elegant and beautiful, perhaps the most attractive award/
My Suggestion for revamping the awards would be:

Genre Awards - based on singles/albums:
[LIST=1][*]Best R&B/Soul Act/Artist[*]Best Rap/HipHop[*]Best Classical/Traditional[*]Best Dance[*]Best Rock[*]Best Alternative[*]Best World (incorporating many genres eg. jazz, latin etc)[*]Best Pop[*]Best Instrumental[*]Best Vocal[/LIST]
[LIST=1][*]Outstanding Achievement/Life Time Achievement Award[/LIST]Showcase the Award Ceremony Live (it would be longer due to more award categorie) on ITV 2 and then repeated in a condensed format on ITV the following night.
