DVD/TV Problems
I have a Panasonic DMR-EX769EB DVD recorder and a Panasonic TX-32LMD70 TV what I would like to know is can I play a NTSC DVD at all and if so what settings do I have to make to both the DVD and TV.
I would be grateful for any help. Ken |

Just a quick thought in passing. I think the DVD recorder will need to be a multi-region model to play an NTSC disc. I assume that the disc is a Region 1 (America) not region 2 (Europe)? The manual should tell you if it is multi-region, if it isn't there is probably a way to make it so. I'm not sure about that Panasonic DVD recorder model (I have the Panasonic DVD+HDD recorder DMR-EH60) but mine has to be reprogrammed to enable multi-region playback and needs to be done using a special remote control... your local TV shop may have access to one. I know there is no easy method with my model and would guess yours is similar as Panasonic seem to make it more difficult than other companies.
As for the TV I think (and I'm sure many other will know better) once the DVD machine has been enabled to play the disc it will handle the signal without issue. Stu |

RTFM it will be in there, somewhere!
![]() Pretty much all modern UK DVD players and TVs support NTSC as well as PAL automatically. Theplayers may be region locked to 2 but quite a lot of NTSC DVDs are region ALL. |

If the NTSC DVD is region free then the EX-769 will switch automatically as long as no timer recordings have been set.
