Hi. Yesterday at work I was trying to recognise a song that was on but couldn't hear very clearly due to the busy shopfloor and it wasn't on loud enough, but from what I could hear from the chorus it sounded like this:

"I gave you my heart, I gave you my life, and right from the start"

It sounded very similar to that. It was sung by a guy and had a very 90s sound to it, definately from 90s onwards.

It's not that song, but the artist sounds just like them, I thought that was it for a second. I might have a look and see if it's one of there songs.

Could it possibly be Quit Playing Games with my Heart by the Backstreet Boys? They are also a boyband that probably sounded similar to One True Voice then but I think this song is from the 90s.

The lyrics aren't the same as you've said but they're kind of similar. This is the chorus:

Quit playin' games with my heart
Before you tear us apart
I should've known from the start
Before you got in my heart

Was re-released in 94 though with Ru Paul rather than Kiki Dee.
