No - you can't, not in that sense - but some people won't let the facts get in the way of making up a good story. I suspect there are still a fair few people being born in Scotland every year called MacDonald, though sadly Ronald has dropped in popularity as a boy's name in that particular clan ..... but not for copyright reasons.

..... since when has registering a trademark been in the slightest way similar to copyrighting your name - Paul Newman dressings, Lloyd Grossman sauces, etc, etc - trademarks, nothing like a copyright. (the clue was in the url, if you bothered to look)
