Pizza, Indian and Chinese restaurants do, I would so love to have a bucket of the stuff delivered to my door.

Fish & Chips as well, our National dish allegedly, very peculiar. Is there a reason these very popular dishes are not?

I'd say cost. They have a perfect system where people come to them and drive through to order and pickup their meal. Why spend money on deliveries when the people come to you.
Other than that I guess it depends on the restaurant/takeaway or location. Apparently McD's deliver in New York (or used to. I remember seeing a program on it once).
Our Pizza Hut doesn't deliver.

Fish n' Chips isn't really a chain, unless you count Harry Ramsden's.

There are several takeaways in my town that do Fish n' Chips, along with Pizza, Burgers, Kebab, Chicken etc. They deliver Fish n' Chips just as they would any other order.

And on the Chicken point I guess you could try different takeaways to see if you can find an equivalent to KFC.

There was a takeaway in town that tasted just as good as KFC but the pieces were bigger and it was a hell of a lot cheaper. Unfortunately they were boughtout by the neighbouring takeaway then closed

Favorite Chicken do, and their chicken pieces and chips are better than KFC's.

Never heard of them before. Just checked the website and it seems very Southern based. (There is Humberside but to me anything below the Tees is the South )

Also strange to go the the Counties dropdown and find Holland and Germany.

The idea of places like McDonald's/Burger King/KFC delivering was discussed on the forums a few months back.

People seemed to agree that the main issue is cost.

Just a Pizza in Pizza Hut or Domino's costs more than a large meal does in one of the above fast food places. In order to offer their products for delivery, the chains would have to either increase the base prices of their food or impose a delivery charge - which is something the public is unlikely to stomach.

There were some practical concerns too. Food from these places tends to get cold quickly (as you'll know if you use the drive thru).

We have so many takeaways that deliver in this town (not big chains though).

But you can get fried chicken, fish n chips etc. delivered around here.

With fish and chips there is the tradition element too. It's been around for many decades and not needed to be delivered before.

I am not sure Fish & Chips travels well?

A bucket of KFC to the door would be a little taste of heaven - especially after a few drinks!

When I was little there was a mobile fish&chip van that used to come round. Wonder if they still exist? Wish we had one here as we don't have a chippy near us.

Not that I'm aware of, and I lived there until recently. They were all open 24/7 though, even in the suburbs/non-tourist areas.

I've worked at BK before and if my memory serves me correctly, the burgers are only 'fresh' for 10-15 minutes before being thrown away, so deliveries would be difficult.

KFC trialled home delivery near me back in 1994 - they only did 5 stores and I used them once, it's a shame they stopped

May be useful if you are a player short for the darts team and can't find the drunken Irishman sleeping it off under the bench-seat (*).

(*) True story.

As do many women!!

To e honest I've never been a massive fan of the fast food chains you see on the High Street and I'd imagine stuff like fish and chips does not travel well. Plus a lot of the single meals are uneconomical to deliver, what with the cost of petrol

I so would like them to deliver also and think its such a valid point certainly think it would be a profit based thing also because quite a few would order.
