It's coming to that time of year again - I'm a month short of being out of contract. I'm currently with Vodafone and have been for donkeys years and fancy moving to O2 because my husband is on O2 and I thought it might make things a bit cheaper for him (he's a PAYG).

Anyway, so I ring Vodafone to find out what I need to do in order to port my number over to O2 next month. The rep on the other end of the phone was very friendly and very helpful but has left me with a dilemma. Vodafone don't want me to leave so they have offered me the following deal:-

100 Anytime minutes plus 50 free texts plus free itemised billing - all for £15 a month. I want to upgrade to a Nokia 8910i and they say I can have it for £290 - is this a good deal?

I could wait until the end of my contract in which case the price of the handset will be reduced even more but there is no guarantee that I could get this price plan again - what does everyone think?
